Dear parishioners and visitors,
This Friday is the holyday of All Saints which is obligato-
ry for all Catholics to attend Mass. I find it to be a spe-
cial day because the Church honors those outstanding
people who strove to be holy, and are canonized as saints
to be models for us. The process to canonize a man or
woman is a long beginning at the local level which evi-
dently is submitted to the congregation of saints which is
part of the Vatican. If a man or woman is judged so wor-
thy through careful investigation, and there are miracles
done through his/her intercession, the person is formally
canonized.
I hope you appreciate the saints. The Church holds them
in high regard for their holiness. When you read the lives
of the saints, you find they were ordinary people who
lived extraordinary lives. We receive the same grace
from God they received. If they lived a holy life, then we
can do the same. The Confirmation students learned
about them through the two years they prepare to re-
ceive this sacrament. I hope always they choose a saint
who is a special inspiration to them, and that saint bring
their prayers to God.
Also, I hope you will take time to come to Mass at 8:15
AM on the 2nd to pray for the faithful departed especial-
ly those of our parish family who died and were buried
since November 1, 2018.

Announcements
If you have not yet given to the 2019 Diocesan An-
nual Appeal, please do so now and be generous. As
was in the bulletin about a month ago, our parish
family did not reach its goal and was shy @ $10,
500.00. Money given within this fiscal year had to
pay for this bill from last year. The target amount for
our parish this year went up an additional
$5,000.00. All money given over and above the tar-
get amount comes back to the parish which is used
in its operational budget.
The next holyday of obligation is this Friday, No-
vember 1 . The Mass schedule is in this bulle-
st
tin. Lectors, servers, and Extraordinary Ministers of
Holy Communion are needed. Please contact Msgr.
Stoetzel as soon as possible.

LIVING YOUR LOVE FOR LIFE: Effective ways you
can restore a love for life in your communities
presented by Therese Aukofer, Pro-life Wisconsin
Program Director. This will be held on Wednes-
day, October 30 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall
at St. John’s Church. This is for our Confirmation
Classes, JWalkers and our parishioners. Join us to
hear the latest efforts in our state to restore a
love for life and learn effective ways to make a
difference in your communities.
The Parish Council of Catholic Women would
like to thank everyone who helped to make our
rummage sales successful this year. Our three sales
in 2019 totaled about $4,400, which will all go to
parish, community and missionary needs. Many,
many thanks to the people who showed up to help
with the packing up of the leftovers, and the carry-
ing and transporting the many boxes to Goodwill.
We felt truly blessed to be a part of Holy Family
