Chapter I

INTRODUCTION

Implementing policies can lead the students to

understand the possible things as they acquire knowledge.

Students who are struggling through policies implemented by

the satiation are a problem facing education, nationwide. The
problem buffer upon which part of implemented policies
students are having dificultief. One differences of the
students and its needs. To find in which particular policies
the students usually commit and difficult to follow.

Statement of the problem

1. What are the students policies impact?

2. What are the possible violations?
3. Is their significant difference between the demographic
profiles of the respondents?

Hypothesis

A. technological devices has possibilities that can ruin

the academic performance of the IT (Industrial Technology)
student.
B. technological devices has a positive and negative
effects on the academic performances among IT student.

Scope and limitation

This study focuses on the Implementation of student

policies of BSIT AUTOMOTIVE students the formulation of
2

the outline started last August 2018 and was conducted on

the months of November on the same year, at the college of
INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY.
This study is depend how the respondent answer referring
on how they will be interested to answer questionnaire,
the time in answering the questions, the wood of the
respondent in answering the questionnaires

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study when completed will be significant to the
following…

STUDENT – for they will be more aware about the

implementation of students policies

PROFESSORS – They will informed what particular policies

they must give on emphasis.

FUTURE RESEARCHER – especially those who will conduct study

on the same or similar framework will gain insight from
the substance of this investigation.

RESEARCHERS – we are able to determine the impact of

implemented policies by the institution.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

The following terms are used from this research, which

the researcher believe, have to define. This is necessary to
enable the future readers of this research to easily
understand the content of this research.

STUDENTS – One who studies: an attentive and systematic

observer <a student of politics.

POLICIES – A high-level overall plan embracing the general

goals and acceptable procedures especially of a governmental
body.

IMPLEMENTATION – carry out, accomplish; especially: to give

practical effect to and ensure of actual fulfilment by
concrete measures.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURES

This chapter presents a review of local and foreign

literature and studies which have relevance to study.

FOREIGN LITERATURE

Technology aids student expression, present what they

have learned. They can use software to make presentation and
projects. This makes them more interested in the subject and
leads to better retention of information. With technological
aids, they can make easy to remember notes and a creative
presentation of the information they have acquired. It won’t
be wrong to say that application of technology has made a
student life easy, it’s easier for student to carry a pda
than carrying big fats books to school. An ipad is less bulky
than a piles of notebooks or an ebook reader much lighter
than a book. (Andersen and becker, 2009)

LOCAL lITERATURE

Technology also saves teaching time as they require

short time to present large information. They can be used to
reveal needs and stimulate student question. Thus, learner
interest can be aroused, maintained, and stimulated to
promoter the imaginative power, on the whole, media ensure
yhe application of classroom-oriented communication
techniques. Therefore, learners should be assisted,
encouraged and motivated not only to learn, but also to
continue to learn (demegilio, 2009)

Based on demegilio he only means that technology is a factor

to the learning of the student, not only to learn but also to
knew something to learn.
6

Its easier to store information, computers enable better and

more robust storage of information, compact enable memory
devices have replaced notebooks and a keyboard and computer
moused are the new writng devices. What may have required
hundred pages of a book can be compacted into a tiny memory
chip. It can take hours to write, but it takes on second to
types storing data has become much easier, owing to
technology. (parsad and jones, 2008)

FOREIGN STUDIES

In the field of computer–assisted language learning

(call) the term “net generation” has been clearly defined by
prensky (2010) who states that net generation members are
“digital natives” since they spent their entire lives
surrounded by and using computers, videogames, digital music
players, video cams, cellphones, and all other toys are tools
of the digital age “which make them different from the body
boomer generation.

LOCAL STUDIES

According to Ryan t. Gertner in 2011, on this study about

“the effects of multimedia technology on learning” he
concludes that multimedia gives light on some possible
effects of it to the learning of student. This means that
technological devices may affects the learning performance of
a student.

The recent increase in use of digital devices such as

laptop computer, ipads, and web-enabled cellphones has
generated corncern about how technologies affect student
performance. Combining observation, survey, and interview
data, this research assesses the effects of technology use on
7

student attitudes and learning. Data were gathered in eight

introductory science courses at a major university.

The descriptive survey estimated the extent to which

different variables are located to each other, the
distinguishing characteristics are the effort to estimate the
relationship or distinguished from the sample description.
Descriptive research describes the natures of the situation
as it exist at the time of the study and explores the cause
of the particular phenomenon.

The descriptive method was used to achieve the goal of this

study. This method seeks to describe the present existing
condition, which in this research are the effects of
technological devices to the learning performance of
information technology (IT) student. In addition, it also
seeks to answer question to real facts relating to existing
condition.

METODOLOGY

METHODS AND PROCEDURES

The study aims to assess the level of research capability

in DEBESMSCAT. This study present the method used by the
research respondents, sampling procedure and instrument
used.

RESPONDENT OF THE STUDY

The respondent of the study are, thirty (30) I.T

Automotive students of Debesmscat Campus which are present by
the time of distribution of the questionnaire.

CONCLUSION

Video games can motivate and have a positive impact on

student given the following criteria:

 They are designed properly

 Given sufficient time to play
 Meets the abilities of the students
 Integrated with curriculum and classroom activities
 Monitored by parents and teachers
