Reading is about the basic factors to consider for the distribution of the products that
are marketed, whether it is a small business or a large company.

The aspects to consider when choosing the mode and means of transport for the
merchandise are:

• Budget you have.

• Time in which he promised to deliver the products.

• Choose the appropriate transport according to the product to be sent (food,

clothing, fragile objects)

• If the product is dangerous, the instructions of the corresponding entities must be

followed.

• Transportation insurance should be considered in case of damage to the

merchandise.

If a correct planning is made, taking into account the previous aspects, surely the
success in the distribution of the products will be achieved and satisfied customers
will also be present.

The means of transport that currently exist are also described:

Land transport: This is the most economical but generates pollution, delays can
also be generated by the amount of deliveries that are scheduled, in addition the
exact weight and volume load must be known in detail to accommodate it in the
truck.

Rail transport: It is fast and takes care of the environment but can be very
expensive. The easiest way to use it is buying a transport package with a railway
freight operator, this operator is responsible for collecting several loads and shipping
by tons. However, ground transportation must be paid from the train station where
the cargo arrives.
Air transport: Everyone is the fastest, but it is expensive and not very ecological.
Air freight is generally charged per kilogram, costs must also be paid such as: driving
fees, fuel and risk surcharges, customs fees and security fees, as well as import
duties and VAT if you are importing. It must be ensured that the cargo agent has all
the legal permits.

Marine transport: Shipping products by sea is relatively cheap, especially if you

send large volumes. However, it is slow due to the availability of ports and the date
on which the cargo ship sails should be expected since they have fixed routes and
other schedules according to the demand of the logistics operator.

Messenger service: The emails are fast, reliable and very safe, but they can be
expensive and only deliver goods of up to a certain weight.
