His needs and fulfill His purposes. Are you positioned for God’s call? 1Kings 19:16 Think about it, why did God choose Elisha to replace Elijah when there were 7,000 prophets that had not defiled themselves? 1Kings19:18 Be positioned to meet God’s need. What do you need to be positioned for God’s call? 1Kings 19:19 – 21, 2Tim 2:22, Heb 12:14, Gal 1:10, Phil 3: 7-12 Be Ready. As much as it is within you, follow peace with all men and holiness. Be steadfast in your relationship with God. Deal with and forsake all the little sins that easily beset you. Be Available. Understand that your primary purpose is to please God. Make yourself available for His use Be Diligent. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it diligently as unto the Lord. If you’re diligent with a little, you will be diligent with much Be Committed. Be sold out to God. Deal with and destroy anything that contends with the plan and purpose of God in your life. Live a life of service From the moment you are called (or discover your calling) to the point you are celebrated, there is a process of learning, training and most importantly of service to prepare you for the greatness ahead. If you cannot serve others, you will most likely be a failure as a leader. 1 Tim 3:10, 13 Live a life of service. How do you live a life of service? 2Kings 3:11, 1Kings 19:21, 2Kings 2:1-12, Jos 22:5 Be willing to serve. Be humble enough to serve others. You need a mentor that you can learn from and that can hold you accountable Be willing to go the extra mile. Never be satisfied with the average, or just doing enough to get by. Extend yourself and then you will stand out and accomplish what others cannot. Be focused. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted. Focus on God. Don’t be swayed by people’s flatteries or criticisms. Dream the impossible 2Kings 2:9-10,13-22, Jos 1:1-7 Dream big! Remember, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Think big, dream big. It is the size of room that you make available to God that He will fill. Hold on to God’s promises. Find a Word, a revelation to hold on to. If He has said it, He will surely bring it to pass. Exercise your authority. Stand on the Solid Rock and exercise the authority that you have in Him. You cannot develop what you do not exercise. Create your destiny with your mouth! Embrace success. Embrace the victories and successes that God gives you. Remain Humble. Understand that at the time of your greatest victories is when you may be most vulnerable. Always remember that it is not about you. It is all about God. Never tamper with His glory.
