Maximum Cruise RPM – The maximum engine speed which is recommended for short to intermediate range cruising. Cruising at this rpm requires over 30% more
fuel than cruising at Continuous Cruise RPM. Engine life is based on the amount of fuel consumed therefore cruising at Continuous Cruise
RPM vs. Maximum Cruise RPM will reduce engine wear, extend engine life, reduce engine noise and reduce fuel consumption.
Continuous Cruise RPM – The engine speed that is recommended for extended cruising for long periods of time.
*Approximate fuel consumption based on a propeller demand curve with a 3.0 exponent.
