Hypothesis: There is different pre-test writing score between Students who live in the
boarding and who don’t live in the experimental group.
Null: There is no different pre-test writing score between Students who live in the
boarding and who don’t live in the experimental group.

Based on the data, the result of (n=43) 30 students’ who live in dorm and 13 students who don’t live in
dorm is the mean score of dorm students (73.87733) is higher than non-Dorm students (72.58385)
(df=23).the T value of the statistics (T=0.2767) is significant in the standard alpha 0.05. The result of one
sample T-test has provide sufficient evidence fail to reject the null hypothesis which stated that there is
no difference in pre-test writing score between students who live in the boarding and who don’t
live in the experimental group. So, we use the alternative hypothesis that said there is difference
pre-test writing score between Students who live in the boarding and who don’t live in the
experimental group.
