Contexto Operacional
Health e Similares, segundo dados do IQVIA.
7,9% no 3T19.
crescimento das vendas e do sell-out.
Companhia passou a atuar exclusivamente no mercado farmacêutico.

No trimestre, a Companhia lançou 24 novos produtos, complementando
Ainda nesse trimestre, a Companhia concluiu o reposicionamento do

A Receita Líquida cresceu 6,4% no trimestre, e totalizou R$1.009,1 milhões.
crescimento do sell-out.

Margem Bruta do 3T18.

Operating Scenario
Hypera Pharma presented a double digit sell-out1 growth for the second consecutive quarter, growing 11.0% in 3Q19
with market-share gains in several segments, especially in Consumer Health and Similars, according to IQVIA.
In Consumer Health, the Company grew more than the market once again, mainly as a result of the recent launchings
performance, such as Benegrip Dia e Noite, Atrofem and Atroveran, and the investments in marketing and at the
point-of-sale.
In Branded Prescription, one of the highlights was the brand Rinosoro, which became a Power Brand² of the Company
and continues to be benefited by the brand extensions Rinosoro Jet Infantil and Rinosoro XT, reflecting the Hypera
Phar a’s strategy to keep strengthening its main brands. Predsim, Alivium, Lisador, Episol and Colflex also contributed
to the growth in the quarter.
The sell-out growth in Branded Prescription was above the market growth in 3Q19, when excluded the Vitamin D
market, which remains challenging since the change in vitamin-D hypovitaminosis guideline that was adopted by
different therapeutic classes, which led to a reduction in the number of prescriptions.
In Similars and Generics, the Company increased its market share for the third quarter in a row, being once again
boosted by the performance of the leading similar brands Neosoro, Flavonid, Doralgina and Histamin, as well as by the
recent initiatives to expand capacity and increase productivity in Anápolis.
The sell-out performance impacted positively the Gross Revenue, net of Returns and Unconditional Discounts, which
grew 7.9% in 3Q19. This growth was lower than the sell-out growth mainly due to the sales performance in 3Q18,
when the Company did not practice the current commercial policy which seeks to align sales and sell-out growth.
Net Revenue grew 6.4% and exceeded R$1.0 billion for the first time since the Company started to operate exclusively
on the pharmaceutical market. The Net Revenue growth was lower than the Gross Revenue, net of Returns and
Unconditional Discounts growth mainly due to the initiatives to foster the sell-out growth, which led to an increase in
Promotional Discounts.
EBITDA from Continuing Operations was R$297.7 million in 3Q19, with a 3.3% growth year-over-year and margin of
29.5%, which was affected especially by the lower Gross Margin and by the higher investments in Medical Visits and
Research & Development.
Net Income was up 10.3% when compared to 3Q18, mainly reflecting the lower effective tax rate due to the higher
Interest on Capital declared in 3Q19 amounting R$161.0 million, a payout of 60% in the quarter. In 3Q19, Hypera
Phar a’s ROE was 14.8%.
In this quarter, the Company intensified the investments in the expansion of the Anápolis manufacturing plant, which
should significantly increase its production capacity in different pharmaceutical forms, as well as in vitamins and
supplements, by the end of 2020.
The continuous sell-out improvement in 2019 already shows the first positi e results of the Co pa y’s re e t
investments. Hypera Pharma is the best prepared player to capture the opportunities in the most diverse segments of
the Brazilian pharmaceutical market, since it combines leading brands, strong investment capacity and a robust
innovation pipeline, which are all essential to support sustainable growth and market-share gain in the medium term.
(1) Sell out PPP (Pharmacy Purchase Price), as per IQVIA, considers the drug stores and big retailers average purchase price

Innovation & Launches
Total investments in innovation, research and development, including
R&D* Investments (R$ mn)
the amount capitalized as intangible assets, exceeded R$60 million for
the first time in a quarter, corresponding to 6.0% of Net Revenue in
3Q19. The innovation index, corresponding to the percentage of Net
60.5 Revenue from products launched in the last five years, was 32.0% in the
quarter.
48.4
In 3Q19, the Company launched 24 new products, complementing its
portfolio in all business units.
34.4 In Consumer Health, the Company launched several brand extensions
of its leading brands, such as the new presentation of its sweetener
Finn, with xylitol, and Lacto-Leve, an extension of the traditional
laxative brand Lacto-Purga for better bowel control.
Still in this quarter, the Company completed the switch of the antacid
Gastrol, an almost 30-year-old brand that it’s o ei g pro oted ith
media directly to the end consumer, reinforcing the Consumer Health
3Q17 3Q18 3Q19 portfolio.
In Branded Prescription, the highlights were the brand extensions of the dermocosmetics Episol and Hydraporin,
Colflex Complet and AdderaCal, the Company´s first association of vitamin D and calcium in just one tablet that it’s
now part of the Addera D3 leading portfolio. In Similars and Generics, the Company expanded its mineral vitamin
supplement portfolio by launching a new presentation of Centrotabs with calcium.

Gross Revenue, net of Returns and Unconditional Discounts grew 7.9% in 3Q19, when compared to 3Q18. This growth
was lower than the sell-out growth mainly due to the sales performance in 3Q18, a period when the Company did not
practice the current commercial policy which seeks to align Net Revenue and sell-out growth.
Net Revenue grew 6.4% in the quarter, and totaled R$1,009.1 million. This growth, lower than the Gross Revenue, net
of Returns and Unconditional Discounts growth, is mainly a consequence of an increase in Promotional Discounts,
primarily a result of the initiatives to foster sell-out growth.

Gross Profit reached R$681.3 million in the quarter, with Gross Margin of 67.5%, or 3.2 percentage points lower than
the 3Q18 Gross Margin. This Gross Margin reduction was mainly due to the devaluation of the Brazilian Real against
the US Dollar and the labor tax increase, in place in Brazil since the beginning of 2019, which negatively affected the
Gross Margin by 1.5 percentage point.
In this quarter, the Gross Margin was also negatively affected by 0.6 percentage point, when compared to 3Q18, due
to the increase in provisions for inventory losses, mainly as a consequence of the sales reduction in 1Q19, and by 0.6
percentage point by product mix effect.

Marketing Expenses represented 25.7% of Net Revenue in 3Q19, or 0.6 percentage point higher than 3Q18. This
variation is a result of the higher Medical Visits, Promotions and Others expenses, mainly due to the increase in the
medical representatives team promoted this quarter and the additional expenses with promotions and samples, and
the greater number of marketing promotions carried out at the points-of-sale to boost the sell-out growth.

that affected the Company's EBITDA.

present its performance in a way that better translates the operating cash generation potential of its business.
