 Collaboration through teamwork

Teamwork in health is defined as two or more people who interact interdependently with a common purpose,
working toward measurable goals that benefit from leadership that maintains stability while encouraging honest
discussion and problem solving. Researchers have found that integrating services among many health providers is a
key component to better treat undeserved populations and communities with limited access to health care .

 Commitment and accountability

Talented, dedicated nurses will always play a vital role in our health service. This is an important time for nursing
and the government is absolutely committed to ensuring they have what they need to do their job well, in the
same way that they are absolutely committed to meeting the needs of their patients

Ten year development plan of this company includes:

1. The financial model in healthcare has changed. Blood Center has helped more people get health insurance, which means
hospitals need greater coverage capabilities to deal with higher volume. And insurance companies have more leverage to
negotiate prices with the increase in the number of insured.
2. Relationships between medical providers and hospitals are evolving. Liability insurance has forced some healthcare
providers to reexamine their working relationships with hospitals and switch independent operators in a hospital to becoming
employees of the hospital.
3. Technology is rapidly improving. We’re seeing major advances in both drug technology and machinery year after year.

4. Hospital systems are increasingly complex. Many hospitals are becoming more specialized, and more healthcare centers
are part of a greater healthcare system—whether it’s for-profit, nonprofit, or government-related.
5. Urgent care centers are more common. For the last 10 years, urgent care centers have become a popular way to take care
of basic but serious ailments, and can be independent or housed within drug stores. Some are related to hospitals, but most
are separate.
6. Providing Quality Health Care and Interaction to patients patient populations value positive provider interactions more
than others. Hispanic patients, for example, emphasized the importance of providers sharing care instructions with family
members and caregivers more than twice as much as other groups.
7. Recruit employee with having achieve the standards for this company as time goes on some employee of this company
will retire or they will change jobs we cant control that fact so as to be able to maintain good patient care we need to recreuit
employee who meets the standard of this company to ensure the companies long journey of blood donation.

8. Provide good Quality Equipment’s Usage The healthcare sector is increasingly bombarded with new medical equipment. It
is extremely important to maintain equipment efficiency to provide quality care and cut costs. Read on to learn about the
equipment concerns of the healthcare sector and how important equipment efficiency can be!

The healthcare industry, whether labs, clinics or hospitals, use a vast variety of specialized equipment, devices, and
medications to serve patients better. If you don’t keep track of your equipment, it can result in your staff spending a lot of time
in looking for it. This involves putting your patient’s life at stake just because medical equipment you have could not be traced
at the point of need. When hospitals have to continuously deal with increased patient demands, understaffing and rising costs,
effective equipment management eventually becomes vital.

9. Quick access to our services accessing blood centers some people find the procedures very annoying so in order to make
our company an easily accessible blood center we need more information and also we put our company online so that
people can easily access our company easily but in order to do this we need to do some research and advertising

10. Have many Company partnership of course 1 company wont last long but with a partner a company can last long and in
order to implement this we need our employees to search and be a good partner to other companies .

Evaluative & Corrective Measure

-To provide quality blood to patients

Quality Blood Must not Consist the following:

 No Label
 Incorrect or incomplete patient identifiers
 Incorrect or incomplete collection information
 Gross Hemolysis
 Diluted Specimen
 QNS

-To ensure patients safety during transfusion

Essential of providing quality blood to patients

 Avoid unnecessary and inappropriate transfusions.

 Preventable ‘wrong blood into patient’ incidents are nearly always caused by human error and may cause fatal
reactions due to ABO incompatibility.
 Most mistransfusion incidents are caused by identification errors at the time of pre-transfusion blood sampling,
sample handling in the laboratory, collecting the wrong component from the blood bank or transfusion to the patient.
UNIVERSITY OF CEBU-BANILAD
COLLEGE OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
MLS 109 LABORATORY MANAGEMENT

 The identity check between patient and blood component is the crucial final opportunity to avoid potentially fatal
mistransfusion.
 At every stage of the blood administration process the key elements are positive patient identification, excellent
communication and good documentation. These can be enhanced by the use of electronic transfusion management
systems and barcode technology.
 Hospitals should develop local transfusion policies based on national guidelines and ensure all staff involved in the
clinical transfusion process are appropriately trained and competency assessed.
 Where possible, patients should give ‘valid consent’ for transfusion based on appropriate information and
discussion, but signed consent is not a legal requirement.
 Non-essential ‘out of hours’ requests for transfusion and overnight administration of blood should be avoided
wherever possible because of an increased risk of errors.

-To provide patient with easy steps during billing procedures

Receptionist of this company contain the following features:

 Understand each individual’s responsibility for payment, as they may differ from patient to patient
 Evaluate and analyze insurance coverage and medical charges, and prepare accurate billing forms
 Collect accurate payments from insurance plans and/or individual patients
UNIVERSITY OF CEBU-BANILAD
COLLEGE OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
MLS 109 LABORATORY MANAGEMENT

-To ensure patient confidentiality

Strict confidentiality of personal information about donors and their test results should be ensured at all times. A
breach of confidentiality may negatively affect the relationship between the BTS and the community it serves. Confidentiality
of donor records should be ensured through the use of unique numbers for donors and donations and the use of codes for
infection markers.

Medical data should be shared only with other health-care providers who are, or will be, directly involved in the
subsequent care of the donor. Otherwise, no confidential information should be shared without the consent of the donor. In
particular, anonymity between blood donors and the recipients of their blood should be ensured. Because of the stigma and
discrimination that may be associated with abnormal TTI test results, confidentiality of these results is crucial.

-To create a good relationship to patients

Patients are more likely to open up and disclose information if they trust their pharmacist or healthcare professional,
and a better quality of interaction may result in greater patient autonomy and shared decision-making. The concept of trust is
important in healthcare because health and healthcare in general involve an element of uncertainty and risk for the vulnerable
patient who is reliant on the competence and intentions of the healthcare professional.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SYSTEM

In implementing this system the company shaltears blood center will undergo changes. In order to improve all
the things that needs improving and as to how are we going to implement this we make changes slowly cause by being slow
will make the employees remember the change that needs to be implement. And also in undergoing the changes all employees
of the company should follow the set of rules that is going to be implemented. The company will change how the workers do
in order to provide a good satisfactory patient rating. As I have said the last time the change will be implemented slowly and
this change is the ten years developmental plan. The ten year developmental plan of this company includes many things in
the company that needs improving for example maintaining the quality of equipment’s. to implement change in the system we
need to make employees of the company be responsible for each of the equipment’s they use. That’s just 1 of the 10 ten year
developmental plan. As the when will this system be implemented it will start as soon as possible and it will end until all
employees of this company has adapted to the changes of the system.

The system will make the company a lot better than before just remember “with great power comes with great
responsibility” the president of this company which is Kenth Joshua D. Alfante will be the one handling this implementation.
He will be the one holding all the responsibilities and changes of this company.
