VOCABULARIES OF FEELING ‘CROSSWORD PUZZLES’

A. The aims of Learning

The aims of learning with teaching media ‘crossword puzzles’ is to build active and
creative learning of students in which the students can enjoying the learning process without
put aside the learning target. Besides that, crossword puzzles can measure students' analytical
skills, so that students can understand the material better.

B. Students’ Need in The Classroom Practice

The students’ need in this learning process is concentration in following learning, partner
and team collaboration in analyzing and answering the games. Beside that, it requires speed
in analyzing crossword puzzles.

C. The Learning Style

The learning style that will be used in this teaching process by implementing Crossword
Puzzles is more emphasize to active learning. In which, others style identified as the
explanation below:

- Theoretical learning : the students can memories the vocabularies about


emostions/feeling.
- Concrete learning : the students can apply what they have learned in the real
world.
- Reflective learning : the students as the reflector, can reflect what they have seen
from their friends and from the teacher in relating to the material.
- Active learning : the students also will learn by doing game and performance
relating to the material.
D. The Method and Assessment

The method that will be used in the teaching process is cooperative learning. And the
assessment for this teaching practice is formative and summative assessment. The
collaborative assessment are aimed at improving students ability beside to assess students
understanding.

E. The Classroom Management


a. Seat layout: Horseshoe/ U-Shape in advance to easier interaction with an entire of
class, encourages discussion and participation, foster connection between students and
educators, and than large area for presentation and demonstration.
b. Media position: the media will be in the front of the students, its aim to easier for the
students point of view.
c. Students’ position: in the back of teaching media, in front of and between the teacher.
d. Supporting media position: there are a pictures to support the media, and the position
is it will be showed by the teacher while the teaching process in the front of the
students.
F. The Duration of Using Media
Duration of using media takes the quarter of duration of class in one session.
G. Language Component
a. Listening as the receptive: the vocabularies of emotion/feelings.
b. Speaking as the productive: the vocabularies of emotion/feelings.
c. Words used to describe facial expression.
