🌿 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮?

Yes, I do. I love both coffee and tea. I like coffee mainly because of its strong aroma. Smelling
the aromatic coffee while having a sip of it is a really nice thing. But honestly, I drink tea more
often. I basically drink it day in and day out. Tea, especially green tea, is really helpful for me to
keep a fresh mind.

It’s funny to say that I’ve just drunk a cup of espresso a few minutes ago, in order for me to be
energized and to keep myself at ease while taking this exam. To be honest, whenever I’m in a
demanding situation, I make sure to drink a cup of coffee to make me feel calm.

Well just this morning, right after I had my breakfast. I make it a habit to always drink a cup of
tea in order for me to improve my mood all throughout the day, most especially in the morning.
Actually, I only drink tea once a day.

Well that surely depends – if my visitors are not those whom I know very well, I usually ask
them about their preference. However, if my guests are my closest friends, I automatically offer
them coffee since all of them are coffeeholics.

Yes, we do. Giving tea to others is really a common way to show your hospitality or gratitude in
Vietnam, given most Vietnamese people like drinking tea. And good tea can really cost you an
arm and a leg, so it’s not a cheesy gift at all. However, not many Vietnamese people are used to
giving others coffee as a gift, except some young guys.

🌿 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆?

No, I haven’t drunk a cup of tea or coffee outside for a while. Honestly, I usually just make
myself tea at home, like a cup of green tea or black tea. I know a lot of girls in Vietnam like
going out for milk tea, but it’s really not my cup of tea. Plus, I rarely drink coffee because every
time I drink it, it makes my heart beat very fast and it feels uncomfortable.

Of course tea! I couldn’t imagine life without tea, it must be dull. Drinking tea is one important
part of my daily routine and I cannot emphasize more the benefits it brings to my body. Every
time I drink tea, I feel so refreshed and I don’t feel bloated after eating.

Well I love coffee and it’s my first love! Without it, I couldn’t work efficiently most especially
when I need to burn the midnight oil. To be honest, I consider myself as a coffee expert, I can
easily distinguish which one is best and which one is not.

🌿𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆?

In my country, traditionally, tea is much more popular than coffee. Almost every neighborhood
has a tea house that offers a wide range of teas for people to drink. That being said, drinking
coffee is becoming a trendy kind of thing nowadays, especially for younger people.

Well that’s no-brainer, people in my country enjoy drinking tea and that’s because of our tea
culture. Back in the days, our ancestors considered tea as the most important beverage more
than water. If you roam around this city, you can find a lot of tea shops and cafes that serve
refreshing tea and if you happen to visit some places in the countryside you can see some tea
plantation.

Definitely coffee, simply because we do have a lot of farms for coffee in this tropical country. As
you know, best coffee plants grow in places where there’s much sunshine. We have plenty of
them and we do drink coffee as much as we drink water.
1. What do you prefer, tea or coffee?
I’m definitely more of a tea person. However, I need a cup or two of coffee to shift
myself into gear (to get started) in the morning. After this, I always stick with (choose)
tea. Coffee tends to make me feel a bit anxious, whereas tea gives me a natural,
energized feeling. Moreover, tea has more health benefits for me, especially since I’m
prone to (easily get) colds and coughs.

2. What do you usually prepare for your guests, tea or coffee?

Definitely tea. As I don’t have a coffee-maker or French press, I wouldn’t want to serve
instant coffee, so I always heat up water in my kettle and serve some tea, either in bags
or fresh. Since I have quite a collection of different teas, I feel prouder to share this with
my guests.

3. When was the last time you drank coffee or tea?

Just before this exam actually! I drank 2 cups of green tea this morning with my
breakfast. As I was a tad nervous, I decided not to drink coffee this morning, as it
sometimes causes me to feel jittery (nervous and shaking).
