I am fascinated to work in War Child Canada because I believe to achieve lasting social change. I want to
explore the boundaries of my performance and increase my competency in program implementation and
ensure the efficient functioning of the program.

Being an expert in public administration experience with international and national organizations in
administration and finance support with strong analytical and communication background, I would like
to offer my skills and expertise for the position Psychosocial Assistant. My professional motivation is to
work in a challenging work environment with the possibility for professional growth. In the following I
wish to highlight my key competencies and my prior work experiences, which makes me an ideal
candidate for the psychosocial position.

I have been working as a Peer Mentor in AUAF for the last one year. It provided me a good opportunity
for coordinating and managing major activities of the mentoring program and model the qualities
necessary for successful completion of an undergraduate program. As part of my duties I have facilitated
different academic workshops for freshmen students to enhance learning, engage them within the
university community, and foster student success. Also, I have worked as a Finance Officer in ACTD for
three years and as part of my regular duties I have gained notable experience in preparing financial
reports, provide financial related inquiries to head of department and performing supervisory visit to
projects review financial system and provide on the job training. Being in the last year of my bachelor
degree in Business Finance at the American University of Afghanistan has provided me significant
knowledge of coordinating different types of projects. It has developed my community engagement,
leadership and cultural competency skills.

Having worked with project management in AUAF and ACTD, I have developed a structured mindset,
client oriented attitude and strong ownership to deliver high quality results. I believe that my
background and diverse experience could bring effective problem solving skills and support the War
Child Canada’s mission at the same time provide an outstanding opportunity for professional
development and personal growth.
