October is Bully Prevention Month !
Things to do if you or someone you know is
being bullied
-Try not to fight back , this is gonna be hard
but try to keep calm and walk away or
encourage everyone to walk away. If this
continues report it . It is important for you to
report any bullying to a parent or an adult you
trust(teacher,counselor,etc).
REMEMBER: You are not alone and bullying is
not your fault.
There are people who care about you and will
want to help.

substances are used i n adolescence. About 90 percent of addi cti ons start i n
the teen years.
-Teens m ay start usi ng substances to address m ental or em oti onal condi ti ons
li ke depressi on, traum a, poor health, etc. etc.
-Teens m ay also use i lli ci t substances because of peer pressure or to belong.
Unfortunately, such acts of substance abuse can have devastati ng effects on
i ndi vi duals and thei r loved ones.
Consequences of teen drug abuse can i nclude legal trouble, li ke ti m e i n jai l,
prolonged substance abuse, and poly drug use. w hi ch i s the com bi nati on of
m ore that one drug at the sam e ti m e w hi ch could be very dangerous and lead
to perm anent brai n dam age or death.
