3rd Paragraph state the rationale of the study

This study focused on the development and validation of a Mechatronics System

Trainer for the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology major in Mechatronics
Technology. Specifically this study aimed to achieve the following goals: (1) To design
and fabricate a Mechatronics System Trainer, (2) To validate the Mechatronics System
Trainer model based on the following: (2.1) Performance Test which includes Efficiency
rating in trial runs and Accuracy (2.2) Experts judgment based on safety and (2.3)
Effectiveness for instruction, and To determine the implications of the study in
Mechatronics Technology curriculum and Master of Science in Information Technology
Program.
In the design, fabrication and validation of the proposed project, the researcher
made use of Research and Development (R&D) Design. Experimental Research using the
Pretest-Posttest Design in determining the effectiveness of the proposed project on
technical skills acquisition.
Design and planning, fabrication, and pilot testing is done in order to create an
effective project; the researcher concludes that it should take these different phases to
come up with the desired output.
Based on the performance test made, the researcher found the project highly
efficient and accurate. The Mechatronics System Trainer is safe to use based on the mean
scores of the experts in the evaluation process.
iii

The Mechatronics System Trainer is an effective teaching tool for technical

students. It has given a significant effect on the learning process of the students and that it
plays a big role in the retention of knowledge and skill.
