Use Case diagram

1. University conducts syllabus revision every 3 years for the MCM course. A core
Committee is formed to co-ordinate activities and online System is designed to track
activities. Core committee decides the chairman for every subjects and intimation is sent
to them and to the Director’s of their institute by E-mail. Chairman, Core Committee
Members and Faculty Members have to register with online system. The syllabus consists
of various semesters and various subjects are included in every semester.
The Chairman uploads guidelines of his subject and faculty members (approved) login to
give their suggestions. The Chairman and 2 other selected Faculty Members then frame
syllabus of that subject and upload the same for further suggestions. After 10 days the
syllabus is fixed after incorporating valid suggestions. Core Committee approves syllabus
and administrator uploads final syllabus which can be viewed by all. Draw use case
diagram and class diagram for the above syllabus revision tracking system.

2. A reputed college is conducting multiple courses. The college has Online Faculty
Feedback System. The feedback can be given only by the students studying in the college
for current academic year. Each course in the college has many faculties teaching various
subjects in various courses. Students can give Feedback for faculty who has taught
him/her for the current semester. The Online Feedback System should include following :
1. Login for Faculty
2. Login for Students
3. Login for HOD
4. One student can fill the Feedback form only once in a semester.
5. According to the points given by the students in the feedback, system calculates
the grades of faculty.
6. Faculty can only view the feedback grades given by the students without
seeing name of the student.
Appropriate action will be taken by the HOD, if Feedback of the particular faculty is
below certain level. Draw Use case and Class diagram.

3. Draw activity diagram and class and use case diagram

Star Group of Hotels wants to have an On-line Booking System. The customer can book
conference hall or room by paying the advance amount either by credit/debit card. While
booking he/ she has to enter the following details :
 If the booking is for conference hall, the customer needs to provide date and time
of the event along with approximate number of persons attending the event,
snacks details, sound system arrangement required for the conference/event.
 If the booking is for room, the booking should contain number of days the room is
needed and from which date.
The hotel provides the following room services for additional charges:
(1) Laundry
(2) Snacks/Lunch/Dinner
(3) Phone call Booking
The bill is calculated accordingly when the customer leaves room.

4. Draw class diagram and sequence for declaration of result.

 5. Draw activity diagram for online booking of movie tickets in multiplex theater. The
payment should be done by credit card. The tickets can be canceled 3 hours before the
show timings.

6. E-BID is an action site development for selling motorcars. The site provides the listing of
used cars which are for sales giving the making year of manufacture, color minimum
price, name contract number address, e-mail of the seller. Buyer can log on to the site and
after registering himself or herself, which is free of cost bid for any car. If their bid is
accepted they have to then make payment by cash, DD or Credit card within 24 hours
upon which the car will be delivered to them. For their services the site changes a
commission of 2% from both, the buyer and seller of each car. Draw the class diagram.

7. Draw Use case diagrams for explaining system features. Zoom car, a car rental agency
has multiple offices/branches .authenticated customer search for vehicles and can sent
inquiry. The agency checks the availability of the car, give the status to the customer.

State transition diagram

1. A simple digital watch has a display and two buttons to set it, the A button and B button.
The watch has two modes of operations display time and set time. In the display mode,
hours and minutes are displayed, separated by flashing colon. The set time mode has two
sub modes, set hours and set minutes. The A button is used to select modes. Each time it
is pressed the mode advances in sequence; display, set hours, set minutes, display etc.
Within the sub modes the B button is used to advance the hour or minutes once each time
it is pressed. Buttons must be released before they can generate another event. Prepare
state transition diagram of watch.
2. Draw the state transition diagram for Bank Safety Locker System which consist of a
sensor and the system with the following facilities :

3. Draw state transition diagram for Biometric (Finger print) system having following
functionalities :
1. Storing finger prints
2. Generating ids
3. Recording In time/Out time by matching finger prints
4. Showing valid /Invalid messages
5. Calculating working hours
4. In online auction system seller add the item in the list for bid. Timer is set for the bidding.
During the bidding time buyer will bid for the item. If bid amount is more then sellers

 minimum expected amount then highest bid will be accepted otherwise restart the bidding
by resetting the bid time. Draw state transition diagram system for the bid
5. Draw the state transition diagram for telephone receiver, for making a call ,or receiving
call.

User interface design

1. Design the layout of final bill given to the patient at the time of discharge. It should
contain all relevant information including tests, treatments & services rendered by the
hospital. Write any two validations for the bill.
2. Design UI for registration state level technical events. Event consists of multiple
activities. College organize two days state level technical event .event has multiple
activities as Design participants registration.
3. Design web based GUI for students feedback with proper input validations
4. Design web based GUI for for generating gate pass with proper input validations for
Infosys Company.

Sequence diagram
1. Sequence diagram for fine calculations in library.

2. Sequence diagram for result declaration of competition.

3. Draw sequence diagram only for payment of bidding amount. E Bidding system
