I am interested in talking to Zen-Noh Grain
Corporation, NRCS, Dillard’s, and Louis Dreyfus
Company.
I looked into a few aspects of each company such
as where their headquarters was located, how
big of a company it was, what are the main
services they provide, and what type of
internships they offered.
Zen-Noh Grain and Louis Dreyfus: Being a part of
management within this facility would consist of
making sure all workers are doing their jobs and
making major decisions to improve the growth
and ultimate success of this company.
NRCS: Working for this company creates a broad
spectrum of job opportunities. No two days out
of the week will be the same as the last. One day
might consist of banning ducks and the next
could be answering questions for people on how
to improve their quality of grass.
Dillard’s: Most people looking to working for a
clothing store typically get a degree in Textiles,
Apparel, & Merchandising. However, Agriculture
Business would be a good fit for what I would like
to do within this company because I would like to
focus on management and marketing for the
company as a whole.
Zen-Noh Grain and Louis Dreyfus: Agriculture
business is a degree that would work out
perfectly for going into management for a
company such as Zen-Noh grain.
Zen-Noh Grain: This is a 10 week program to
where you will most likely be placed at the facility
closest to home or you can have a say in where
you go if you request. Each week you will work in
a different part of the facility, learning the ins and
outs of the entire industry.
Dillard’s: This is also a 10 week program
however, this is not an internship. The
opportunity available is a job where you work
from the bottom-up within this short time frame
and eventually can work your way up to being in
charge of your own department and hiring your
own workers. You will compete against other
Dillard’s location and try to create the most
successful sales and customer increase rate.
