Introduction

Makabulos Memorial High School is a private secondary school in Victoria, Tarlac

recognized by the Department of Education(DepEd). Its offers academic strands such as Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics(STEM) and Humanities and Social
Science(HUMSS) for its Senior High School program.

Makabulos Memorial High School is located at Rizal St. San Fernando Victoria, Tarlac.
It was established since 1939. This school is one of the oldest school here in Tarlac City. The
structure of the buildings here are very old, we can really see that it is an old-structure. Some
structure of the building is weak, poor in ventilation and also uncomfortable because of the
broken chairs.

Our group’s goal is to renovate this school. We want this school to be one of a kind not
just on academic but also the comfortability of the students who enters this school.

Main objectives

 Make the school building more competitive to other schools.

 Make the rooms more comfortable.
 To make the school buildings more durable so that it can protect students from natural
disasters such as earthquake and typhoons.
 Ensure that the building fits in with the town’s appearance and architecture.
 Provide a spacious space where the students can move more freely.
 To provide state-of-the-art facilities.

Methodology and Means Used

To approve this plan to renovate Makabulos Memorial High School, we conduct a survey
in 20 random students, 20 random teachers, and 20 random parents. The survey question were
not only focusing on collecting relevant information on a total of 60 respondents from
Makabulos Memorial High School, but also on the parents of the students that wants to secure
their child’s protection inside the school.

In total, 60 respondents answered the survey and were consequently analyzed.

The results are 60 of the respondents agree to renovate Makabulos Memorial High
School.

The data was analyzed through statistical treatment ANOVA SINGLE FACTOR
performed by our expert statistician Sir. Carlo Manguil. The analysis findings were consulted
with the school director Engr. Bricio Pascual.

To reach the above objectives, first we need a budget for the renovation of Makabulos
Memorial High School. The estimated budget that we need to reach the objectives is 32 Million
Pesos, including the payments for 50 men that will labor and for the materials to be used. The
estimated time to finish the renovation is one and a half years.

In hiring people for the renovation, we will hire 1 experienced engineer, 1 architect, and
50 laborers that is willing to work 8 hours a day but break in Saturdays and Sundays.

Reasons to Renovate

Main reasons to renovate were to: improve learning environment; improve school
facilities; make the school buildings more durable; make the school buildings more comfortable
and safe; and lastly, make the school buildings more competitive to other schools.

Least important was to: improve the image school, improve visual comfort
(daylight/shading) and improve acoustical performance.

Rational for the Proposal

The fundamental reason for this proposal is to make the school beautiful by renovating its
structure. Renovating school means to improve and to level up the experience of the students in
their learning process inside and outside of the classroom. One of the reasons for renovation is
because of the quote “There are rooms for improvements…”.

To create a working and studying space for students that is safe and spacious for all
students especially those with special needs. To provide a comfortable and spacious classroom
for performing any physical and educational activities. In improve school students not only
develop closer relationships with peers and teachers but also with the school community.

Conclusion

For the better future of the learners , we therefore conclude that renovation of the school
will result to good performance of the students, new school environment and it will attract many
students in the future not only for the Municipality of Victoria but also for the province of
Tarlac. This will also make the school more competent to other schools because of its new
profile and improve facilities that will happen after the renovation.
