A. REVIEW
Learners will be asked of what is the previous lesson all about.
B. ESTABLISHING A PURPOSE FOR THE LESSON
Teens are usually under a lot of pressure and it’s easy for their peers, teachers, parents and siblings
to erode their self-confidence. They often have to deal with unrealistic expectations set for them,
thoughtless comments and conflicting messages. But they can counter it – with self-love
affirmations.
C. DISCUSSION OF LESSON (REVIEW)
Challenges of Late and middle Adolescence
Example: Affirmation to be more lovable and capable adolescent

Erode- gradually destroy or be gradually destroyed


Self-esteem- confidence in one's own worth or abilities; self-respect
Peer- Anyone you look up to; someone you think is equal in age or ability
Self-confidence- a feeling of trust in one's abilities, qualities, and judge

Teacher will ask students:” How do you find the affirmation you make? Does it help you
as a student?
F. GENERALIZATION
At this stage, an adolescent must be guided properly especially on the different challenges
they may face where proper counseling is needed for them to develop their ability to function
and recover when things aren’t going their way.

IV. SUMMATIVE
Study in advance the next competency which is to discuss that understanding stress and its sources
during adolescence may help in identifying ways to cope and have a healthful life.
