ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM VENUE

This year’s symposium is held at “HOTEL BENILDE MAISON DE LA SALLE”. It is nestled in Malate,
one of Manila’s bustling and historic districts. Moreover, the hotel is near universities and colleges
such as De La Salle University – Manila, De La Salle College of St. Benilde and St. Scholastica’s College
– Manila.

Access to the Symposium’s Venue from the Airport:


(FROM THE AIRPORT TERMINAL 1,2 or 3): We advised all overseas participants to take the
airport taxi going to Hotel Benilde Maison. There are two different kinds of taxis: the white coupon
taxis that charge a flat rate to their destinations, and yellow metered taxis. We recommend our
participants to use the yellow metered taxis which charges between 300Php – 500Php
(approximately 1,000 Yen) to the hotel depending on traffic conditions. We also advise our overseas
participants to print out the map attached here or the link provided. You can specify the taxi driver
to go to “Hotel Benilde in Estrada Street near the College of St. Benilde, De La Salle University (DLSU)

and St. Scholastica’s College”. Fees may range between 300Php – 500Php (approximately 1,000 Yen)
depending on the traffic

(LOCAL TRANSPORTATION): For our local participants, the best access to the venue is
through Taft Avenue corner Estrada Street. There are buses and jeeps that passes thru Taft Avenue.
The nearest LRT station is Vito Cruz Station.

Access to the Airport from the Symposium Venue: You may schedule or reserve a taxi cab from the
concierge of Hotel Benilde a day before your intended departure.

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION

- Each presenter will be given 12 minutes to deliver their presentation. We expect that all
presenters to limit their presentation to the given time allotment. Afterwards, a 3-minute
open forum will be conducted.
- We encourage every presenter to use Microsoft Powerpoint presentation 2013 and save
the file as “T#_<Lastname>_.pptx”. Every presenter will be given a Topic (T) number (#)
which serves as the order of presentation for the two-day presentation.
- We also encourage the presenters to upload your presentation to the registration booth a
day before or in the morning (before 9AM) OR you may send your presentation thru email
(jspscore2coreph@gmail.com)

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

- Poster dimensions: Portrait; 33 inches for width and 47 inches for length (equivalent to A0).
Mounting materials will be provided by the secretariat.
- We are encouraging all poster presenters to place their posters the evening of November
10 or in the morning of November 11 during registration.
- The Poster session will be held on the 1st day of the symposium (November 11, 2019) in the
afternoon. Poster presenters are encouraged to be in their respective posters at that time.
