Requirement of Monitoring
System

Non-invasive and non-intrusive system

-Provide accurate measurement
-Remain the stability of process flow
Non- hazardous system
-No exposure of radiation

Tomography Analysis
• A tomographic imaging software
system with a mathematical
algorithm is designed to analyse
the:
Concentration
Velocity
Mass flow rate
Particle size distribution
Optical Tomography System (OPT)
• The Optical Tomography System is considered
as a hard-field sensor because
“ the sensing field is based on the measurement
of the light attenuation or absorption.”
Optical Tomography System (OPT)
The OPT system provides a good spatial
resolution, where it can capture a very
detailed image without making the pixels
visible.
Immunity to electrical noise or interference
OPT also provides a high-speed data capture
system and,
it is suitable for real-time monitoring system
applications.

CONCLUSION
 The experiments had proved that the CCD OPT
system is capable of detecting the existence of
different opacity of object in crystal-clear water
during the monitoring processes.
 This CCD OPT system is able to distinguish between
gas bubbles and solid objects.
 The CCD OPT system developed is a non-intrusive
and non-invasive system.
 Since no probes or sensors need to be fitted in the
liquid medium, this system offers more accurate data
due to the absence of any interference for the
pipeline monitoring processes.
