Lesson Plan in English

I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:
1. identify the different kinds animals;
2. read the names of animals properly.
II. Learning Content:
A. Topic: Different kinds of animals.
a. Skills: Listening, speaking and visualizing skills.
b. Value focus: Appreciation and cooperation
B. Materials: Visual Aids
III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activity
1. Motivation
Ask the students to give the names of animals that they know and
the sound they produce. The teacher will produce sounds of the
animals and the students will guess.

1. Presentation
Tell the students that they are going to learn the different animals.
Open the discussion through asking the “Who am I?” On the flash cards, read
the sentences/phrases that describe an animal and let them guess. The teacher
should integrate the sound and actions that portray the animal so that the
students can easily guess. After the students guess the name of an animal on
the flash card, let them see it and read its name properly. Let the students
repeat reading the sentences after the teacher.

IV. Generalization
Tell the students that we are not alone in this world. There are animals around
us that make our world more beautiful. Let us love them and never hurt them.
V. Evaluation
Spelling Quiz
Let the students spell the following words on their papers. The teacher must
say each word loud.
1. Bird 6. Rabbit
2. Fish 7. Horse
3. Duck 8. Elephant
4. Snake 9. Monkey
5. Cow 10. Dog
