ALBUS DUMBLEDORE YOUNG HISTORY

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was born in 1881 summer and died in June 30th, 1997 in
Scotland. He had a 3 years younger brother and a 4 years younger sister; Aberfoth and Ariana. The
family lived in the mainly wizarding village of Mould of the Wold very happy, until Albus reached
10.

3 muggle boys, who saw his sister Ariana performing magic, attacked her and were frightened by
what they saw. Ariana was shattered. She was left mentally and emotionally scarred by the event
and developed a deep fear to use magic. She didn’t want to use it, but she couldn’t get away from
it either, so the repressed magic got her mad and unstable, and it made her explode when she was
not controlled. Albus’ father, Percival, full of rage took his own justice and killed the boys. Percival
was sentenced to the Prison of Azkaban until his dead. Kendra, the mother decided to hide Ariana,
because if the Ministry of Magic found out what her daughter had become, she would be interned
in the St Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, so that, they left home and went to
live to the village of Godric’s Hollow.

At that time, Albus started to study in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted
into Griffindor house. Many of Albus’ fellow students believed that just like his father, he hated
muggles. But they were wrong, because he not only didn’t hate muggles but always fought to
respect their rights and protect them.

After all, his own fame didn’t last to stand out over his father’s. At the end of his first year he was
considered the brightest wizard ever at Hogwarts. He always helped his friends with all kind of
problems and discovered that he really enjoyed teaching. Not only won all the most important
awards of the school, but also established a very well-connection with so important people, such
as Nicolas Flamel and Bathilda Bagshot.

7years later, after graduating from Hogwarts, he was covered in glory and planed the traditional
“Grand Tour” of the world with one of his best friends, Elphias Doge. But a tragedy ensued on the
eve of the departure when Kendra was killed by an outburst of Ariana’s uncontrollable magic.
Albus was forced to take care of his younger siblings. So, he had to keep at Godric’s hollow and
leave his friend. The first weeks he did well, although, he felt trapped and wasted. By fortune to
Albus, a foreigner arrived the village called Geller Grindelwald.

Geller was Bathilda Bagshot’s grand-nephew, who introduced the two. His intelligence and skill
were the size of Albus and they made each other right away a close friendship. Grindelwald’s
thoughts were to subdue the muggles and the wizards to reign, and this attracted a lot to Albus,
who fell under the influence of love for Geller. They both will be the leaders of revolution. To
succeed it, they planned to find the Deathly Hallows. In particular, Albus wanted to get the
resurrection stone to use it with his parents and so they will take care of Ariana and Aberfoth.

During 2 months, Albus was with Grindelwald preparing cruel dreams and disregarding his siblings.
One day, Aberforh angrily confronted Albus and told him that he couldn’t carry out his plans while
he had to take care of his sister. Grindelwald furious with Aberfoth’s intervention use a Cruciatus
Curse on him. Moving to defend his brother, a violent duel happened between the three boys.
Until suddenly they saw that Ariana lay dead on the ground product of that triple combat.
Grindelwald fled immediately, leaving devastated the Dumbledore brothers. Aberfoth guilted
Albus and broke his nose at Ariana’s funeral, which he always wore crooked. Aberfoth never knew
of the great regret and guilt Albus would feel for the rest of his life about Ariana’s death. All the
truth of their sister was kept in secret and the time went by…

The Ministry offered many times the position of Minister, which he never accepted because
Dumbledore had proved to himself that he could not control power. It’s because Albus
Dumbledore became in the best ever head-master of Hogwarts.
