Introduction

Most of the students believe that Math is a difficult subject. That's why a lot of students try to find easier ways in solving
Math problems. In this, we can learn how to get the product of any number multiplied to 22 in faster and easier way. We
just need to remember the parts of Multiplication; Multiplicand, Multiplier and Product so that it will be easier for us to
solve the equation. Multiplicand - number which is multiplied by another number. Multiplier - number with which multiply
is called the multiplier. Product - is the result of multiplying.

Significance of the study

This method will help Students multiply a number by 22 in easier way. This will also allow students not to use too much
space in their papers. In this method, multiplication and addition will be used. This will also help the teachers for additional
information about the techniques to be used in teaching. Plus, their students will be practiced in their skills of solving
multiplication and addition problems

First double the multiplier

Then, add the first digit of the factors

Add the sum of the first digits of the factors to the doubled multiplier

Then, subtract 1 from the tens digit of the multiplier

Add the difference to the previous sum

This will be the first 2 digits of the product

Multiply the last digits of the factors. Then get only the ones digit.

This will be the ones digit of the product

22 × 100

First double the multiplier

Then, add the first digit of the factors

Add the sum of the first digits of the factors to the doubled multiplier
Then, subtract 1 from the tens digit of the multiplier

Add the difference to the previous sum

This will be the first 2 digits of the product

Multiply the last digits of the factors. Then get only the ones digit.

Justification

As stated in the examples above, we can conclude that the conjecture we made is true. We can master our mind to solve
mentally and use, learn and master the 3 basic operations in just one situation, and also, we used the multiplier and its
place values in solving the problem/equation given. By using this method, it'll easier for the students especially the young
ones, to multiply 22 into certain two-digit number. The method is not applicable to three-digit number and so on, proven
by the example #2 given above.

Summary

Using 3 operation at the same time is a useful and easy way to do. We used addition, subtraction and multiplication at the
same time. Also, we used the basic past lessons that we learned way back in elementary. This method will help Students
multiply a number by 22 in easier way. Also, this method will help the students to minimize their time of solving and less
scratch papers.
