Time : 2003
Main objective : develop a fee-calcullation and account management software system
Goal for yida : explore oversea
Main problem : yida cannot meet Kaye’s expectation
Reason : language and communication problems, personal issues, office management
prolems

1. – unclear scope of work


- communication breakdown do to different of language
- poor risk management (internal issue in KAYE, ethical issue from zhoe zhang still insees to
continue the project because of his selfishness)

2. Actually this is the golden time for terminate the project because the work that been asked by Kaye is
not core competencies for Yida. Its considered as the new development. And Yida should aware that
new development and new product testing and bug repairment. That’s why Yida should terminate the
project.

3. Yes, Yida should hier translater if needed and white MOM for every discusion and meeting and sign by
two parties

4. Since there is communication barrier between Kaye and Yida due to the difference of language the
SOW should be detail as Yao’s propose to Zhang instead of existing practices by Zhang. And then SOW
need to be approved by both parties and there must be one language as both parties agreed.

was used for kaye he would lose his job. There for he rejcted the cooperate.

Yida shoud be posible to detct this of act by using risk managemnet and management process that’s
why, YIDA mas know there their position and condition before working by using mc kinsey 7s,
brainstrom or mind mapping
8. yes YIDA be possible to detect the culture of their client, in order to deal with kayes internal conflict
their must be a clear SOW which they have clear scope and product requirement of the contract and
both two companies agreeed to sogn without product description. Moreover, there should be a formal
initial stage plan and other different stage plans including clear deliverable definition,

9. yes there was anything wrong or lacking with the original contract SOW to respond this kind of
request from KAYE, YIDA supposed to report with masaku because he is the project leader and ask him
how to deal with this kind of situation

10. the reason why zang team members had been losing confidence for continuing the project there is a
laguage barrier that’s why YIDA was hard to communicate with KAYE. Thus, there must be a one laguage
as both parties agreed
