Staff Motivation Incentives and their Impact on an Organizations Productivity

The success and promotion of any company or organization can be evaluated in terms and conditions of
various things, such as well planning, better administrative system, system of working of employees,
follow up rules and regulations, management of resources and many others.

Human resources are everything for any company /organization, although a company needs many other
resources for its promotion and success but without human resources they are useless. It is the man
who operates the machines and utilizes other resources for development. (Hitt, Miller, & Colella, 2006,
524-526).

Each of us has his own wants and desires, for that purpose he/she works to get obtain them. It is not
enough for an employee to be satisfied materially but non material aspects are as essential as material
aspects, an employee need both to be fulfilled.

Material means his salary, bonuses, allowances, job security and other facilities. While non-material
aspect includes leaves, excellent working environment, good understanding among other fellow workers
and top management, all these elements have much to do with motivation of employee.

Many young workers nowadays can’t have a stable job as they are still longing for the company that will
truly care for their improvement & development as an employee. Lack of motivation & sometimes
bosses were the major roots of all these issues. There are expectations that we cannot find in a specific
company. There are wants were we are not satisfied.

Employees play very important part in the daily operations of any organization especially where the
markets are very competitive and have ever-changing environment which is supported by majority of
the theorists. The fate of an organization is usually determined by the will of its employees so it sounds
logical to understand how employees can be motivated.

The researchers found it so interesting to study how motivational incentives helps the whole company
to cope in the changing environment as each & every employee has different taste & perspective when
it comes to motivational incentives. We also need to consider their interest & age as well.

Industrial factory have changed over years triggered by an increasing consumer demands. In
the Philippine context, manufacturing companies started as early as 1730’s and it contributes a
lot in our GNP growth until the present time. These factories have evolved and expand as time
passes by.

Moreover, as these factories continuously expanding over time, it is very important to meet the
due dates of its clients as it is the main source of company’s fund. Once the order have been
received, the respective internal departments should plan properly & process the goods
accordingly. However, due to uncontrolled circumstances, there are times that the company
needs to extend the production and with this, the turnover will prolong too. As a
manufacturing company, coordination, planning, motivation, and employee reinforcement
plays an integral part to avoid such interruptions during the productions of goods.

It is very crucial to assure that the goods will meet the due date while meeting their standard
quality, too. So to strengthen the company goals, this project suggests to promote an efficient

and logistics systems with consideration of the employee motivation and reinforcement
in meeting the due dates of all orders on-hand.

departments.
• Support the development of new production and logistics systems with the suggested
employee empowerment.

and logistics flows.

The area is very interesting as many plants in the country has a long history and are not flow-

utilization. Addressing these issues will help Philippine industry to increase its future production
capacity, competitiveness, and growth.

Mental well-being: Its Importance on Employee Performance of Linens International Inc.

The study aims towards verifying the effects of the level of psychological wellbeing (mental health) and
its relationship with the employee job performance.

Employee mental well-being directly affects how employees think and feel about their job and
organization. Positive social relationships increase social integration and create a mutually supportive
work culture among the employees, which will enhance trust, increase helping behaviors and strengthen
cooperation.

There is growing evidence of the global impact of mental illness. Mental health problems are among the
most important contributors to the burden of disease and disability worldwide. Five of the 10 leading
causes of disability worldwide are mental health problems. They are as relevant in low-income countries
as they are in rich ones, cutting across age, gender and social strata. Furthermore, all predictions
indicate that the future will see a dramatic increase in mental health problems.

The impact of mental health problems in the workplace has serious consequences not only for the
individual but also for the productivity of the enterprise. Employee performance, rates of illness,
absenteeism, accidents and staff turnover are all affected by employees’ mental health status.
