Aim:
To create a software environment that provides hassle-free
selection of colours and buying of paints to the customers.

The Administrator can login to the system and access customer

information, provide colour catalogues, create a shopping-cart,
print bills, maintain records and handle transactions details.

Introduction:
The way you paint your home tells a lot about you - Hence
it's important to design it so that you express your life
through colours.

MyHome colour solutions offers a variety of paints and

provides its customers with the right colour combinations.
We value our Members and aim to achieve customer satisfaction
by offering great value for money via discounts and promotional
sales; taking into account the budget allocated for the same.

* Stock: Add/Remove
* Types of Paints: Basic + Premium + Custom

Front End : Visual Basic 6

Why VB6?
VB6 is built on the Windows Server System to take major advantage of
the OS and which comes with a host of different servers which allows
for building, deploying, managing and maintaining Windows Based
solutions. The Windows Server System is designed with performance
as priority and it provides scalability, reliability.

Back End : SQL Server

When we choose a back-end for an enterprise level application we
have so many options, like Oracle, MySql, etc.
However, we choose Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as our database, as it
has so many features which is ideal for our application.

• Integration with Windows 2000

Conculsion:
We started this on a small, gradually as we progressed we got
new ideas and we were able to implement most of them. But as the
saying goes that software is never complete, there is still lot of scope
for enhancing this project.

Despite the amount of time at hand we have made all attempts

to make this project as comprehensive as possible.

Working on this project was very much team effort. Therefore,

with the greatest we the pleasure we would like to acknowledge the
guidance, assistance and contributions of large number of individuals
who pitched into push this project over the finish line.

This project has been very good learning experience for each one of us
and we hope to implement many more such interesting projects in
future that will be helpful for us in obtaining the necessary knowledge
and expertise in this specialized, skill based and dynamic world of
software development.
