 Orientation Visit
The first official event after the selection
of candidates was the Orientation Day,
held on 29 September 2018. The
Registrar of the university welcomed the
students of the 1st Batch. He said that
NUTECH is the first ever technology-
driven university in Pakistan. He further
dilated on the rationale, aims and
objectives of this university. The selected
students had a detailed round of the
facilities, available at the university at the
end of the orientation session.
Welcome & Tree Plantation
A welcome party-cum-plantation drive
was held on 11 October 2018. The event
started with the address of worthy Rector
in which he reiterated the significance of
plantation. Later, students along with the
faculty members and administrative staff
planted trees with their nametags hanging
on the trees to show their ownership.
After plantation, students were served
with lunch in the University cafeteria.
Hiking Expedition
NUTECH planned a thrilling Hiking
Trip to Trail-5 Margalla Hills,
Islamabad for its students on 9
December 2018. The hiking expedition
was not merely a recreational activity;
rather it was more of a noble cause. The
students linked it with the social service
by cleaning the trash/litter on the track
and adequately disposing it off at the
end of the trip. It was primarily a
symbolic gesture to educate people not
to pollute natural environment that can
put natural habitat of wildlife at risk.
Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH)
Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH) was
celebrated at National University of
Technology (NUTECH) on 21 October
2018 to commemorate the holy birth of
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Rector
NUTECH graced the occasion as Chief
Guest. Students of different departments
participated in various activities which
included Naat, Seerat Quiz Competition
and English and Urdu speeches, followed
by the prize distribution ceremony.

Pakistan Business Council
Mr. Wille Eerloa, Chairman Finland
Pakistan Business Council visited
NUTECH on 8 December 2018 to discuss
future prospects and mutual collaboration
in the field of education. The worthy guest
visited Berlitz English classes and
different labs. On his arrival, Mr. Wille
had one to one meeting with the Rector
Engineer Khalid Asghar in his office.
University of Utah at NUTECH
A delegation from University of Utah,
USA visited NUTECH on 18 December
2018. This visit was continuation of
efforts to achieve global research
partnerships with strategic partners like
UU. During the visit, the delegation
participated in detailed briefings and
discussions to identify the areas of
cooperation. The worthy guests
discussed plan of action for future
collaboration in various areas including
faculty/student training at UU, elective
teaching and mentoring, curriculum
development and reforms, designing
training modules, research program
development and management.

Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan visited
NUTECH on 27 December 2018. His
Excellency visited NUTECH Academic
Block and Labs. He also addressed the
students, faculty and support staff.
