Session Title: Teaching to Think-Integrating HOTS in Classroom Instruction


Duration of Session 1 hour and 30 minutes

1. Introduction
 Ask the participants to read two learning scenario carefully.
 Ask the foloowing questions –
o “If you were a student, to which school would you

information?
Analysis/Abstraction 1. Discussion on the topic using power point

e. Activity 1.2 – Determining HOTS questions
f. Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy for Teaching HOTS
g. Activity 1.3 – Rephrasing non-HOTS questions to HOTS
Questions
h. Integrating HOTS activities in the Classroom
Application 1. Give the participants sample Lesson plan and determine if the
questions being asked is HOTS and if not, rephrase it to HOTS
questions.
