1 Introduction
GPS-MDLS with the windows based application (BCS) for configure the network of
Slave Clock or DRM either in broad cast or unicast mode like (IP,SM,GW) this will
help Slave Clock or DRM to communicate with the server for gettting time
information according to the network configuration in GPS-MDLS.
Hardware Requirements:
Processor P-4 based PC
RAM 512 MB
Software Requirements:
Operating Systems Windows XP, Windows Vista or Higher
Supporting Software Dot Net Framework 2.0

2 Installation procedure
Setup for GPS-MDLS BCS Version 1.10 Dialog Box will be displayed on the
screen. To complete the installation procedure, please follow the below step as guided

c. If the password is not correct it will display a message “Please enter the correct
password”.
3.2 Device Selection
The following screen will appear to select the device.
After selection of the device click OK button. If user selects SLAVE CLOCK then
follow the procedure under section 3.3 if user selects GPS-DRM then follow the
procedure under section 3.4

a) User has to enter the Slave clock serial number in the text field.
b) After sending serial num request to Slave clock it will send a response
back to BCS and update all the values in the corresponding field when
reading the Slave clock network configuration.
c) After all Slave clock network information is received, it is ready for
editing and configuring the new RDU IP configuration. In this state
user cannot edit the MAC address and Slave clock serial number.
d) During IP configuration, Slave clock will not display the Date/Time
data. In this state, all the digits will show hyphen (--). The Colon LED
of Slave clock will glow according to the connection status of

NTP/SNTP. After a time out of 5 minute, the Slave clock will show the
Date/Time data.
e) After editing the values within 5 minutes click “send “ button then the
dialog box will appear as shown in the Figure and Slave clock will
start showing the data.

Now type the serial number of GPS-DRM and then click on “GO” button. If the serial
number of the device was not connected in the network then the following screen will
appear.

If the serial number of the device was connected in the network then the following
screen will appear.
The user can modify the configuration whichever is required. After modification click
the corresponding “Apply” button. The following screen will appear.

If the user wants to save the configuration then click the “SAVE” button. After
clicking the save button the following screen will appear.
If the user wants to discard the configuration then click the “DISCARD” button. After
clicking the discard button the following screen will appear.
NOTE:
If discard button was clicked then old configured data only will be available.
