4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity (_2_ minutes).  Checking of attendance.
 Checking of student’s attention before the activity starts.
 Check students’ assignment.
4.2 Activity/Strategy (_5__ minutes). From the definition given, which do you think is the quantitative and qualitative
research?
It is a type of educational research in which the researcher decides what to study;
asks specific, narrow questions; collects quantifiable data from participants;
analyzes these numbers using statistics; and conducts the inquiry in an unbiased,
objective manner.

participants; asks broad, general questions; collects data consisting largely words
(text) from participants; describes and analyzes these words for themes; and
conducts the inquiry in a subjective, biased manner.
4.3 Analysis (_5__ minutes). How would you describe a quantitative and qualitative research? How did you know that
quantitative research is more on numerical? Why you need to determine the difference
between quantitative and qualitative research?
4.4 Abstraction (_20_ minutes).
Quantitative research is a type of educational research in which the researcher
decides what to study; asks specific, narrow questions; collects quantifiable data
from participants; analyzes these numbers using statistics; and conducts the
inquiry in an unbiased, objective manner.

Qualitative research is a type of educational research in which the researcher


relies on the views of participants; asks broad, general questions; collects data
consisting largely words (text) from participants; describes and analyzes these
words for themes; and conducts the inquiry in a subjective, biased manner.

4.5 Application (__5__ minutes). Teacher present a sample research and let the students identify if it is
quantitative or qualitative research.
