Dear Friend,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This year
has been one of great changes in my life. But despite everything I went through I
know the hand of God has been with me! I am very thankful we have a Savior
who is compassionate and answers when we call on His name. He tells us in His
Word that He will never leave us and never forsake us.
Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe
also in Me" (John 14:1). Many people believe in angels and saints, but the Lord
said to believe in Him. In other words, we can have faith in Him for our very
lives. He is the only one who died for our sins. Many don't believe He needed to
die for us, but unfortunately, we all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God. Instead of all of us dying for sins the Lord took the punishment for our sins
so we could have eternal life. It is faith in Christ Jesus that makes it possible for
us to be saved forever! This faith is a gift from God.
He went on to say, "In My Father's house are many mansions..." Many
translations use the word "rooms" here, but I know the Lord won't give us a
broom closet! What He does is generous! His house will be full of mansions,
stocked with more love than we ever experienced, more grace than we ever
received on earth, and tender mercies that will overflow and bring joy to our
hearts. The Lord Jesus Himself is the light of the temple, the house of God.
Seeing Him will be the highlight of heaven! There is none that compares to Him.
He said, "If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you." He doesn't lead us on in fairy tales. He tells the truth. He has
nothing to gain by hiding truth from us. He is not "a" truth: He is the truth! He is
not "a" way: He is the way! The life of Jesus Christ is the lifestyle we all should
embrace. We need not fear because He went to heaven, preparing a place for
each of us. No one is left out! If you open your heart to the Lord Jesus and let
him cleanse you from every sin, you can know of an assurance that He has
prepared a place for you, that where He is there you may be also!
His thoughts are always for you, not against you. He said in Jeremiah
29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." He is
attached to you through His sacrifice. I remember a few years ago calling my
dad because I wanted to share something with him. I started the conversation by
saying, "Dad, I thought of you the other day.." And he interrupted me and said,
"Well, I think of you every day." That is how the Lord is. He thinks of us every
day. His thoughts towards us are more in number than the sands of the sea. He
has prepared a place for us to live with Him for eternity. He has a place for
everyone who runs their race with Him in mind. The Lord expects for you to be
an overcomer! You can finish your course with joy and peace, knowing where
you are going to end up: at the feet of Jesus Christ our Lord!
One of the greatest holidays is upon us this month: Thanksgiving. We have
so much to be thankful to God for. For me, the thing I am most grateful for is
having the Lord Jesus Christ in my life. He has forgiven me of my sins. He died
so I could live and placed me on a new path, a good path. He has blessed me, my
wife and family with things money cannot buy. He has given me a church family
that I appreciate and thank God for as well. Nothing here on earth is perfect, but
the Lord is absolutely perfect! And He loves each of us. I am sure there are many
things you can be thankful for every day, for He is good to all.
My prayer is that the Lord will bless you more abundantly with His peace
that passes all understanding, surround you with His wonderful love which
nothing can take away, and guide you through this life by His Spirit which is
freely given to us. In Jesus' name! Amen.
I invite you to our church. Our schedule of services is Sunday at 10 am and
7 pm, and Wednesday at 7:30 pm. May God bless you "more abundantly!"
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
