Program Description As stipulated in the Republic Act 10533 also known as the Basic
Education Act of 2013, popularly known as the K-12 Program, the State
shall establish, maintain and support a complete, adequate and
integrated system of education relevant to the needs of the country and
society at large. The implementation of the program is seen to have a
great impact on developing citizens who could be of help to make this
country progressive in terms of economic and social aspects.
As the Philippines embrace the implementation of the K-12
Curriculum, educators face many changes and challenges especially in
the field of mathematics. Among these are the reduction of instructional
time; emphasizing the use of the spiral approach; and doing away with
content which are disintegrated and fragmented. These changes and
challenges necessitate highly trained and highly confident teachers who
are ready to perform their role as facilitator of learning inside the K-12
classrooms.
In this regard, the Baao District will be conducting a 2-Day District
LAC Session. The said activity aims to:
1. Provide Grade 6 TLE teachers with a concrete understanding of
the different TLE approaches, assessment and teaching plan.
2. Provide them the opportunities to acquire and demonstrate
the cognitive and affective competencies they need in the
effective implementation of the grade 6 curriculum.
3. Ensure that the teachers are properly equipped with
capabilities to perform various task in the effective delivery of
the curriculum and their roles as the facilitators of learning
The District Learning Action Cell (Dis LAC) for Grade 6 in the K-
12 Basic Education Program will be conducted in the following
schedule and venue.

It will be participated by all grade 6 teachers handling TLE/IA.
Formal face to face encounter will be done. The
speakers/facilitators, training managers and the different
