Statement Of Purpose

I am Aurang Zaib. I born in Pakistan in 1991. I am writing this statement of purpose in the hope
of pursuing advance studies in your esteemed university. Such studies, I believe are invaluable for my
career development and will surely benefit rest of my life.
I have been developed much interest in applying for Master’s Degree in Telecommunication
since I passed from Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. That four year undergraduate
program in Telecommunication Engineering has ultimately formed the foundation of my perseverance in
achieving a deep knowledge in the field of concern. Subjects like Satellite communication, Digital Logic
Design, Electric Machines, Electromagnetic Theory, and Mobile Communication really inspired me to
expand my horizons in the field of Electronics and IT. Aside from college/university academics I also
indulged myself in numerous extracurricular activities as I was a member of Literary Society in
Department of Electrical Engineering and also governing the events in IEEE to up-bring the students from
their social perspectives to the technology.
From my primarily knowledge I made up my mind to be a professional Engineer in Networking
and Communication companies. Firstly, I started my career in Usman engineering Ltd as a BSS Engineer
the largest growing network in Pakistan . Later on I became a part of Dunya Media Group as a trainee
communication engineer which led me to the permanent employee of this well known sector of Pakistan
under capacity of Jr. Communication Engineer. Having abilities such as responsible, dynamic in work and
socialism really distinguished me from other comrades and became the fundamental reason of my
promotion to a Communication Engineer. After duration of 19 months, I found an opportunity to be
selected as a DSNG Engineer in Public News and I grabbed the chance. I was the one who designed the
infrastructure and implemented with advanced system.
Being familiar with satellite hi-tech tools, strong quantitative skills, as well as experience gained
as I worked on different projects have all helped me in developing sharp analytical abilities and have
offered me the needed confidence in tackling advance problems at a macro level. I am looking forward at
implementing all my abilities to the available immense potential opportunities that lead my plan to
contribute by evolving optimal and meaningful solutions to different problems in “Telecommunication
sector”.
The course which you are offering attract my attention and it will really boost my advancement
prospectus and provide a competitive advantage. It is a combination of my last program and my pursuit. I
want to explore different directions of this course and I am extremely confident that studying at your
renowned university will further expand my horizons, giving me the wonderful opportunity to getting the
best education possible.
