3. Applied social science was a discipline born from the reaction to the
compartmentalization of knowledge in the social sciences, the growing
sentiment that most theories and proposition have the tendency to generalize
knowledge and are always seen from a macro perspective, and as a way for
theories to resonate and connect with real life.

G. APPLICATION: Fun Activity


Finding practical application of concepts “Where Do I Belong Game”
and skills in daily living  Divide the class into groups. The teacher will prepare questions based on the
different fields under social science and applied social science. The question will be
written on the blackboard. Cut-outs bearing the name of the different field will also
be created. Instead of answering the question verbally, the student will pick the
answer from the various cut-outs and paste their answers according to which
category (Social Science and Social Science) it belongs.
H. EVALUATION: Evaluating/assessing The Applied Social Science Family Tree.
learning Students will conduct a survey among their classmate .Ask them what their chosen
degree is and why. The answers will then be categorized under social science or applied
social science.

remediation Divide the class into small group and do the following: Divide the class into small groups.
Each group will conduct a survey among 15 college student .Ask them what their chosen
degree is and why. The answers will then be categorized under social science or applied
social science. Present the finding in class through an illustrated family tree.
