1. Conclusion

In this experiment, we proved that when an object is at a higher altitude, its acceleration is faster
or the greater the slope of inclination. Based on the gathered data the result was, acceleration is directly
proportional to the height of the track therefore it goes much faster as the height of the track is increasing.

We can also conclude that the slope is directly proportional to the velocity displayed by the object.
Therefore, the slope and the velocity will always be the same whatever their both characteristics are. If the
slope is constant, so is the velocity. If slope changes, velocity changes. Both are directly proportional so if
the slope is positive, then velocity would be positive too.

As for the dynamic cart that is traveling in a constant direction or straight line, we concluded that
the speed of the cart is decreasing as the displacement gets longer while the time on the other hand is
increasing. The acceleration of the dynamic cart gets faster when the track traveled is inclined and its
acceleration increases when the inclination is getting higher. The constant acceleration of the gravity
applied on the object is the main reason. Meanwhile when the inclination of the track increases, the time
when cart reached its final position decreases. And lastly, 980 cm/s2 is the accepted value of the gravity for
free falling bodies, assuming no force was applied to the falling object.

2. Application

We might not observe but velocity and acceleration is part of our daily lives. When we are
walking in a nearby house or street in a constant speed, we don’t experience acceleration. When
acceleration is zero the speed is constant. Acceleration occurs is when we move from one place to another
over time. In this case, a best example is when you are in a mall and your starting location is from the
entrance of the mall, then you started walking from different shops and boutiques inside the mall. After few
hours, you might notice your current location is now far from your starting location. It mainly due to the
acceleration you make. Aircrafts on the other hand has velocity. When pilots are flying the planes, they
have this gadget where they can monitor how fast they are going and if they’re in the right direction. Cars
have speedometer to monitor their speed. Taxis uses GPS to know the direction of their passengers’
destination and how far they traveled. All these applications are practically happening in our daily lives.
