fundamental influence on the quality of the tempered glass.

A fully tempered glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than an
annealed glass of similar thickness. The full tempered Fast cooling > Tougheded
Slow cooling > Heat strengthened
glass is regarded as a safety glass and when it breaks it
disintegrates into small blunt pieces which greatly reduces
the chances of injuries.

Bent or curved glass is processed in which the glass sheet

is gradually heated above its softening pint while external
mechanical forces are extended on the sheet, bending it
onto a concave or convex mould in a bending furnace. Once
the shaping process is completed, the sheet is cooled in a
controlled manner to either annealed glass or thermally
toughened safety glass. Bent or curved glass includes
curved annealed glass and tempered curved glass. Curved
glass offers a creative alternative for architects and
designers in handrails, windows, store front, skylight,
capsule lifts, spiral staircases, revolving doors, shower
doors, elevator panels, glass partitions and showcases.

Heat strengthened glass is a semi tempered glass, which

has been strengthened thermally by inducing a surface
compression of 6000 to 9000 psi as compared to a range of
11000 to 20000 psi in case of fully tempered glass. It is two
times stronger than annealed glass. Though it is not
considered to be a safety glass, it is widely used on building
facades due to better optics.
Heat soaking is destructive process were tempered glass is
subjected to a temperature of 290 degree Celsius for
several hours in a “Heat Soaking” oven. During this time,
the nickel sulphide inclusion undergoes a phase change
and reverses back to its original low-temperature state,
that is to say, the inclusion expands in volume. If this
inclusion is near the central tension core of the glass, the
change in volume will generate sufficient stresses to break
the glass. It is estimated that up to 95% of nickel sulphide
contaminated panes of glass are usually destroyed by this
process reducing the chance of onsite spontaneous
breakage.

Laurel Silk-screened Glass is made for the printing process

that creates a design or pattern by applying ceramic
frit/paint to the glass surface partially or totally through a
high quality serigraphic screen-printing mesh before
entering to the tempered furnace, and subsequently being
toughened. It offers designer exciting opportunities to
customize both exterior and interior glass with patterns,
colors and improves solar control performance and can be
combined with clear or tinted glass substrates, as well as
high-performance coating to reduce glare and decrease
solar transmission for occupants’ privacy. Silk-screened
design is obtained from standard dot, hole and lines
patterns to the customer’s custom designed art work in
many popular standard RAL colors and applied widely with
laminated glass, insulated glass together in modern
projects.

Thickness of tempered safety glass is 2mm-19mm.

Size is from 100x100mm to 3300x18000mm.

INSULATED GLASS

Laurel Insulated Glass Units,or IGUs are constructed with

two or more panels of glass separated by a desiccant filled
aluminium spacer that is hermetically sealed with either
polypeptide or silicone and the insulating airspace is filled
with air or a noble gas, such as argon or krypton inside, as
these gases are denser than air and less likely to let heat
conduct through the IGU which would provide better
insulating performance to enable the glass to meet two
very different requirements – keeping heat in during colder
weather and keeping heat out during warmer weather.

Insulating glass units has many advantages in energy

saving: the insulated glass is a very effective way to reduce
air-to-heat transfer through the glazing, especially
combined with a Low-E or reflective coatings, these gases
work to improve the window’s overall u-value, which is a
measure of the heat transmission through a building part
(such as a wall or window). The lower the u-value, the
better the insulating glass unit. Low-E and other coatings
provide substantial improvements – up to 50 percent in
U-values and solar heat gain coefficients compared to
uncoated insulating glass units.
Sound insulation performance: single layer glass can
reduce noise o 20-22dB. Insulated glass can reduce noise
to 29-31 while special insulated glass to 45dB.
Anti-dew: Double glazing glass is filled enough desiccant
which can efficiently absorb vapor in the inner space or
penetrated from outside to ensure the gas in inner space is
absolutely dry and won't dew.

Production range:
Insulating glass units includes insulating glass, laminated
insulating, double laminated insulating and triple insulating
with single clear float glass, tinted glass, tempered glass,
reflective glass and Low-E glass which can be hard Low-E
or soft Low-E with single silver layer, two single silver layer
and triple silver layer with different customer’s application
requirements.

Maximum size: 3660*2440mm

Minimum size: 300*300mm
Insulating glass thickness range: 10-60mm
Flat glass thickness range: 3-12mm
Interspaces: 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm

VACUUM GLASS

Laurel Vacuum Glass is surrounded by two pieces of glass

sealed together, be drawn into the vacuum gap and sealed
the vent, the gap between two pieces of glass is
0.1-0.2mm,Vacuuming the space to make the air pressure
lower than 10-1pa, so the gas heat transfer is negligible;
the two walls are coated with low radiation film, that radiant
heat transfer as small as possible, with one of two pieces is
double silver soft Low-E,this will be through the vacuum
glass conduction, convection and radiation methods to
minimize heat loss, The Low-E coating reflects almost
more than 85% of the infrared back. Normally the vacuum
glass adopts compound of the tempered glass, IGUs,
laminated glass and other deep processed techniques of
glass for more safety glass.

Due to excellent heat insulation, sound insulation, moist

condensation prevention and anti-drew forming properties
for energy conservation and environmental protection,
vacuum glass is applied for windows, doors and curtain
walls in construction industry, refrigerate freezer in light
industry, photovoltaic solar electrical energy generation in
new energy resources industry, ship and train in
transportation industry.

Vacuum glass includes Hybrid vacuum insulating glass and

transparent vacuum glass with self-supporting. The
transparent vacuum glass with self-supporting
points-adopts chemical reaction method, which makes the
glass surface form even, transparent and highly consistent
supporting points. It have the following advantages:

1. The supporting points is a part of the glass, the heat

exchange is lower than the metal and make U-value
lower.
2. The height of the supporting points is the same and they
spread evenly, so there is no stress change.
3. It could save points spread by manual work, so it is
suitable for industrialized production of large quantity.
4. Edge seal with low temperature lead free materials,
which has long lifespan and is environment-friendly.
5. Put getter in the groove of new type which lift the vacuum
degree and prolong the lifespan of the vacuum glass.

The maximum size is 2400x1200mm, the thickness of glass

is 4mm-6mm

MIRROR

Laurel Silver Mirror produced through a trinal processing

work by coating a silver nitrate film on the silver
mirror-grade float glass and a copper film which protects
the silver nitrate from oxidization with air. Two layers of
protection and waterproof coating which is from Fenzi of
Italy will be sprayed on the copper layer evenly and then
dried and washed. Time, daily wear and tear, and cleaning
take a toll on ordinary mirrors, silver mirror is up to the
test, with unparalleled durable and long lasting protection
against corrosion, chemicals, moisture and abrasion while
adding beauty and elegance to any room.

Laurel Aluminum Mirror is produced by coating on glass is

called PVD which stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. PVD
is a thin film coating technique where first the aluminum is
vaporized, then the glass object is put in a vacuum chamber
and then the vaporized aluminum is led to the vacuum
chamber and deposits on the glass, resulting in a thin film
coating. The two or one layer of protection coating will be
sprayed and dried before packing. Now most of aluminum
mirror is produced by horizontal production line with the
conveyor and different vacuum chamber, technology makes
the quality and quantity of aluminum mirror improved a lot
which increases market demand of aluminum mirror
sharply.

Laurel copper free silver mirror is produced with no copper

layer instead of other special metallic layer on the silver
nitrate layer and coating two layers of painted, the
outermost paint layer comprising polyurethane resin based
paint. They are characterized in that the paint layers are
free of alkyd resin and in that the first paint layer closest to
the silver coating layer has a thickness of at least 10 µ
m.Copper free silver mirror delivers perfect reflectance,
uncompromising durability and resistance corrosion for
green building and environment friendly interior decoration.

Widely used as the material sheet for furniture, bathroom

PATTERN GLASS & WIRED GLASS

Laurel Pattern Glass is produced by passing molten glass

through rollers to achieve some uniformity of thickness and
give patterns or texture to the surface, the upper roller is
smooth and the other roller with different patterns, so one
side of pattern glass is flat and other side is pattern. The
pattern glass color also can be bronze, grey, blue, green
and amber with different patterns. High quality pattern
glasses typically available as tempered, laminated and
insulated glass.

Pattern glass products have been used to obscure vision

areas requiring privacy but allowing virtually the same light
transmission as clear glass. The level of obscurity depends
on the pattern which has been imprinted into the glass as it
is made pattern glass can also give the durability and
versatility of glass without showing water spots, streaks or
minor surface scratches that are so noticeable on clear
glass.

Pattern glass is the natural choice for entry ways, room

dividers, patio furniture, kitchen cabinet doors,
entertainment centers, lighting fixtures, conference rooms,
decorator accents and many more. The available sizes for
pattern glass are 1830*2440mm, 1500*2000mm,
1830*1220mm, 1524*2134mm, etc.

Laurel Wired Glass is produced by continuously feeding

wire mesh from a roller into the molten glass ribbon just
before it undergoes cooling. A steel wire mesh is embedded
between two separate ribbons of semi-molten glass, and
then passed through a pair of metal rollers which squeeze
the "sandwich of glass and wire" together. Wired glass has
an impact resistance similar to that of normal glass, but in
case of breakage, the mesh retains the pieces of glass.
Wired glass is manufactured primarily as a fire resistant
glass, with wire mesh inlaid in the glass to prevent it from
shattering and breaking out under stress or when exposed
to high temperatures. With the window intact, the glass
keeps the fire at bay, protecting those on the other side
from the harmful effects of smoke and flame.
Wired glass can have different colors, such as bronze, grey,
blue, green and amber.
Thickness of wired glass can be 5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm
Size of wired glass can be 1830*2440mm, 1830*2520mm,
1500*2000mm, etc.

SOLAR GLASS

Laurel Solar Glass includes, tempered low iron mistlite

glass and AR coating glass which can be used for the solar
panels and photovoltaic panels. Glass for solar batteries
and solar collectors is based on our patent solutions, which
allow to modify the surface structure, thanks to the glass
can provide greater amount of energy to power equipments,
from a few to even over ten percent more. The structure of
the offered glass is to achieve the greatest direct and
hemispherical transmittance of light, but also for a range of
wavelengths, which are the most efficient used by
photovoltaic cells and absorbers of solar collectors. In the
case of photovoltaic panels, when we want to use the glass
with optimally selected parameters, it is necessary to know
the exact characteristics of semiconductor silicon, a
maximum efficiency of solar cells built on silicon-based
semiconductors falls on red in the visible and near infrared
over the visible range, i.e. above 700 nm.

Laurel AR Glass is coated on the outer surfaces with a thin

coating that helps light pass through the glass and not get
reflected away from it. Regular uncoated glass transmits
about 91% of the light through it, with about 8% of the light
reflecting back (the rest is absorbed). Coating the outer
surfaces of the glass can reduce the amount of light
reflected from 8% to 1 or 2%. This is a noticeable
improvement in two ways. First, there is less glare or
reflection off the glass, allowing you to look through the
glass easier. Second, light actually goes through the glass,
making everything look brighter. Anti-reflective glass can
be dip-coated on one side or both sides. Thin layers are
applied to the glass, using the sol-gel coating technique
and the mainly metal oxydic layers are hard, extremely
scratch-resistant and offer high chemical resistance. The
coating reduces residual reflections to approximately 1%
yet, at the same time, increases the light transmittance to
as high as 98%.

AR glass can be used for the solar glass industry, the

museum display case, picture frame, LED, TV screen and so
on. The normal thickness of solar glass and AR glass is
3.2mm and 4mm and sizes can be custom-made.

ACID-ETCHED GLASS & SANDBLASTED GLASS

Laurel Acid-etched Glass is produced by masking the glass

panel with an acid-resistant substance such as wax,
through which the design is scratched, and then immersed
in hydrofluoric acid, or a mixture of dilute hydrofluoric acid
and potassium fluoride is applied to etch the exposed areas
of glass for finally distinctive, uniformly smooth and
stain-like appearance which is impervious to fingerprints,
marks, dirt or oil, making it the perfect choice for high
traffic location and is available in a variety of patterns,
textures, and translucency, providing esthetics and privacy
with a high level of light transmittance.

Acid-etched glass can be available for single side and

double side according to customer different request without
fingerprint. When the acid etched process was applied to a
single color glass the pattern could be etched much more
deeper than what was usually done with a cased glass, this
process was often called sculptured or carved.

Sandblasted glass is produced by applying a stencil pattern

to glass with a high speed machine that bombards the glass
panel with sand, walnut husks or other materialslasting it
with sand. The stencil stops the abrasive sand from
removing a layer of glass, rendering it clear underneath. By
removing the stencil progressively during this process,
shading and depth can be added to the glass. sandblasting
can offer versatility in creating design effects, such as
creating privacy strips or patterns.

STAINED GLASS

Laurel Stained Glass is process of cutting colored sheets of

glass into small pieces to form a pattern. A coating of
metal/ferrous oxide is then painted onto the colored glass
to create a specific picture with dimension, depth and
shading. The glass is then fired up to 8 times for different
layers of paint, to make the oxide semi permanent. After
this process, the glass is then leaded together. Quality is as
important as aesthetics for decorators, it is for residential
or commercial application. That’s why stained glass design
are sought after for superior decor plans. With lead free,
polymer glass creation, custom made and easily installed,
stained glass is a great way to enhance the beauty of your
building.

For home living, stained glass helps create a sense of

peace, comfort and warmth, while commercial space
designer use this exquisite medium to set the stage for
welcoming clients, building trust and having fun. No matter
the specific need, stained glass can be used for custom
design windows, lighting, domes for ceilings, sidelights and
transoms, even bathroom accents of stained glass lend the
space a unique, amazing panache, the very definition of
stained class. If you have idea for your space, stained glass
can bring them to life.

Stained glass draws attention and cast a glow that can

foster calm in waiting room, inspiration in libraries and
universities where students seek quiet, calm spaces for
study and contemplation, in hospitals and medical centers
to foster patients’ comfort and peace of mind, and elegance
in government buildings. Restroom facilities, corridors that
lack enough light, stark official spaces that lack warmth
and personality are all enhanced by fine stained glass
design. It’s also perfect to set a colorful mood for clubs,
taverns, spas or retail outlets. Classic stained glass
windows include breathtaking designs that depict sacred
symbolism, saints, biblical teachings, even memorials and
donor recognition windows. Imagine welcoming
congregants and visitors with glowing entrances decorated
with stained glass, or conducting services at an altar inlaid
with magnificent stained glass. Stained glass has become
traditional for windows, domes of churches, chapels,
synagogues and shrines, as well as places for quiet
contemplation because of its effectiveness in bringing the
holy word to a largely illiterate population.

FLOAT GLASS

Laurel Float Glass is produced by heating silica sand, soda

ash, dolomite, limestone, and salt cake etc. Other
materials may be used as colorants, refining agents or to
adjust the physical and chemical properties of the glass,
and then fed together with suitable cullet in a controlled
ratio, into a furnace where it is heated to approximately
1500 °C. Common flat glass furnaces are 9 m wide, 45 m
long, and contain more than 1200 tons of glass. Once
molten, the temperature of the glass is stabilized to
approximately 1200 °C to ensure a homogeneous specific
gravity, where molten glass is poured from the furnace and
floated evenly onto a bed of molten tin. The glass is gently
cooled under controlled conditions to anneal the glass
which enables the glass to be cut and modified. Float glass
includes clear float glass, ultra clear float glass, tinted
glass and reflective glass.

Ultra-clear glass is made by a special process. It is not like

the clear float glass to sight like green, it looks just like
colorless crystal, highly transmissive, terrific. It is highly
used in all kinds of constructions and decorations and the
counter and display window exhibited by top-grade valuable
products. It is a new type advanced structural glass with
environment protection, economic on energy.

Tinted float is produced by adding a colorant during a float

glass production run. The most common colours are grey,
bronze, green and blue. Apart from its function in an
aesthetic sense, tinted float is primarily designed to reduce
solar heat gain and glare and increase the comfort levels
and reduce cooling costs in buildings. Main available
colours are bronze, grey, blue, green and black.

All of float glass are widely used in the commercial and

residential windows, doors, and other areas, especially the
deep processed products.
Thicknesses of clear float glass and ultra clear float glass
are1.8mm,2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm,8mm,10mm,12mm,
15mm,19mm.
Thicknesses of tinted and reflective glass are 3mm, 4mm,
5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm.
Size of float glass and reflective glass from min
150x100mm to max 9000x3300mm.

REFLECTIVE GLASS & LOW-E GLASS

Laurel Reflective Glass is ordinary float glass with a metallic

coating which is fused to the glass at 1200° C. The special
metallic coating also provides a one-way mirror effect,
preventing visibility from the outside and thus preserving
privacy of the building. It is known for its durability.

On-line Reflective glass is processed a chemical vapor

deposition technology (CVD) with metallic coating applied to it
during float glass manufacture. It is known for its durability.
It can be easily cut, heat strengthened or toughened according
to different requirements. Off-line reflective glass is produced
by the magnetron sputtered vacuum deposition technique
(MSVD) in the vacuum chambers with a homogeneous film
metal compound directly on float glass. Different thickness of
this metallic film coated will lead to various colors and high
thermal performance of reflective glass products.

Laurel Low-E glass is standard clear glass which has a

special coating on one surface of the glass. Low-e refers to
low emissivity and this describes the capacity of a surface to
radiate heat. Emissivity is measured across a scale from 0 to
1 with representing the highest emissivity. Low-e glass can
reduce the amount of heat that is conducted through the glass
by around 30% than ordinary glass and improve thermal
efficiency by cutting glare and preventing damage interior
furnishing caused by ultra-violet rays.

Hard coat Low-E glass is made by coating the glass during

production with a thin metallic oxide layer, effectively welding
it to the glass surface. Soft coat low-e glass is made by
sputtering coating onto the glass surface in vacuum chamber
filled with an inert gas which is electrically charged and made
molecules of metal to sputter onto the glass.
Hard coat low-e glass is durable and difficult to scratch, and
can be used for single-glazed applications with higher
U-values. Soft coat low-e glass has more visible light in with
less visible haze with excellent U-values by single silver,
double silver or triple silver. Soft coat low-e glass must be
used in double glazing glass which can protect film from
oxidizing.

Thickness of reflective glass and Low-E glass are 3mm, 4mm,

5mm, 6mm or 8mm.
Size of can be 3300x2134mm, 3300x2250mm, 1650x2140mm,
and other cut customized sizes.
