ACTIVITY: Music Video (Countries and nationalities)
This activity deals with the creation of a video about the countries and
INTRODUCTION nationalities, in which the students will have to design a song, record a music
video and present it in the classroom.
MATERIAL Song: Countries and nationalities of the world. List of countries and nationalities
To acquire new vocabulary about countries and nationalities at the moment of creating
AIM a song called “countries of my world” and recording a music video by using simple
present sentences.
Initially, you are going to read a list of vocabulary that will contain 50 countries
and nationalities. Then, the teacher will present a song “called countries and
nationalities of the world”, so you will have to pay attention and listen to the song
and write the vocabulary that you could listen. Once you have listened to the song
and read the vocabulary list, you will have to get in groups of 5 students to design
a song like the one presented by the teacher, then you will have to record a music
video for the song and finally present it on the classroom.
TASK You have to take into account at least 25 countries and nationalities for the song,
also you have to create sentences like “This is Mexico – I am Mexican”.
The presentation of the music video will take place on May 29th and the process
of the presentation will be the following. First the teacher will assign a number
to each group, then each group will have to present their members and provide a
short description of the video. The time for the music video will be 3-4 minutes
and two minutes for preparing the video.

 Firstly, read the vocabulary list that the teacher will provide in which you
will find a list of countries and nationalities.
 Secondly, listen to the song called “countries and nationalities of the world”.
 Next, select 25 countries and nationalities from the list and the song
presented.
 Crete a song similar to countries and nationalities of the world, and adapt

the song to the countries that you selected, include complete sentences in
simple present.
 Record a music video of the song of 3-4 minutes.
 Finally, present the music video on May 29th, bring the video in a DVD or
USB, make a short presentation of your members and explain how the music
videos was done.
