Question: Describe the inticracy of the relationship of humanity and artificial intelligence. Based on the events in
the movie, how can humans manipulate AI in order to secure a better future.

Humans have the highest form of intelligence. So, creating artificial intelligence with human- like characteristics to
simulate human intelligence has the potential of helping civilization flourish like never before, as long as we keep
technology as beneficial. I believe the movie entitled Ex Machina depicts the most accurate events that we can
experience when we are with AI's.

The movie was directed by Alex Garland as his debut directional movie. It starts out as a dark thriller about a young
programmer and a young bachelor developer who create artificial intelligence with sickening personal agenda.

The scientist and the owner of Bluebook, Nathan has brought the programmer Caleb his employee to his
home/laboratory in the forested mountains and assigned him to interact with a prototype of a female robot, Ava,
to determine if she truly has self-awareness or it's just an incredible simulation. Many of it's rooms are off-limits to
Caleb's restricted key card.

The sessions we're all about Caleb's conversations with Ava and observing her wich eventually gives him the doubt
of doing the session because of his job instead he develops an emotional feelings towards the AI. The story
is emotionally intimate, at times suffocating, unfolding in and around Nathan's stronghold. Where the ending is the
most shocking one. The unpredictability is present, not knowing the story will lead to a bloody and unfair ending.
Which depicts the complicated faith of humanity and it's artificial intelligence.

Ex Machina is an excellent film and story, with the final third full of plot holes. In general, it accomplishes what it
sets out to achieve. Every scene holds tension, which expertly builds up to the end. The AI premise invites guesses
on how the plot will play out, and the movie stays one or more steps ahead at all times. The performances leave
nothing to be desired. The visuals are layered in artistic beauty and metaphor, complemented by spicy dialogue.
The only fault is it all falls apart in the finale due to plot holes. Nevertheless, I admire the messages and overall
take of the film.

I believe AIs and humans have the most complicated relationship that exists. Imagine developing a robot that have
body parts and can think as you. Which have the possibilty to change us humans. And based on the movie I've
watched they also posess the negative behavior of betrayal, and it's possible for them to elimanate humans. We
should think those possibilities. I think the counter measure will be, develop an AI that will just do a specific task
just like any other robots but their capacities and capabilities will be higher. Because no one can level the existence
of humans.

And accroding to what I've searched, AI is programmed to do something beneficial, but it develops a destructive
method for achieving its goal. This can happen whenever we fail to fully align the AI’s goals with ours, which is
strikingly difficult. If you ask an obedient intelligent car to take you to the airport as fast as possible, it might get
you there chased by helicopters and covered in vomit, doing not what you wanted but literally what you asked for.
So that we are ill- fated to each other. There's a lot of factors to be considered in order our relationship with them
to be successfully beneficial to both of us.

We can manipulate AI to make our life easier and to have a better future by developing them to do a specific task
with intelligence and program them to not harm any humans. Their dofference to other robotics or machines is
that they are inserted with some ideas and intelligence of human. So that they can do the tasks without creating
and leaving a damage to anyone.

The arrival of strong artificial intelligence, has been inevitable for decades. A quote from the developer of Ava,
which is truly correct. The resources and other materials are already there so that the variable of improving lives is
not about 'if' it is about 'when'. Our time is not revisable it is acceptable, we should accept and adapt what is
happening right now. But ofcourse with modifications, it should make our life easier not the other way around.

But, AI has the potential to become more intelligent than any human, we have no surefire way of predicting how it
will behave. We can’t use past technological developments as much of a basis because we’ve never created
anything that has the ability to, wittingly or unwittingly, outsmart us. The best example of what we could face may
be our own evolution. Where Nathan also said that, AI is not a deicision its an evolution.Where it is already
inevitable type of change. Which humans once again proove that they are the most intelligent one by developing a
human-like or human- transferred intelligence. Where, People now control the planet, not because we’re the
strongest, fastest or biggest, but because we’re the smartest. If we’re no longer the smartest, are we assured to
remain in control?

Our civilization will flourish as long as we win the race between the growing power of technology and the wisdom
with which we manage it. In the case of AI technology, the best way to win that race is not to impede the former,
but to accelerate the latter, by supporting AI safety research.

As technology becomes advance and more advance, there are some who question whether strong AI will ever be
achieved, and others who insist that the creation of superintelligent AI is guaranteed to be beneficial. Its not bad to
recognize both of these possibilities, but also recognize the potential for an artificial intelligence system to
intentionally or unintentionally cause great harm. I believe research today will help us better prepare for and
prevent such potentially negative consequences in the future, thus enjoying the benefits of AI while avoiding
pitfalls.
