University of Prince Edward Island. Areas of Study: The Department of History at UPEI
has a long standing tradition of teaching immigration issues as they connect critically with
the Modern and Contemporary History of Canada generally, as well as that of Province of
Prince Edward Island specifically. The Department offers which are all relevant to a
comprehensive understanding of migration in the Canadian context. The areas of study
concern: History, Social History, Sociology, Migration Studies, Island Studies; Nationalism
and Foreign Relations.

York University Toronto: The Department of History at Yrk University is the largest in
Canada and has more specialists on Mediterranean Europe than any other in the country.
In addition to courses on modern Greece, Ialy and Spain, the Department offers courses
on the Greek and Chinese diasporas and on migration in general. York also has a large
number of other departments which teach migration and related issues.

research project related to questions of identity, nationality with a special focus on Europe
and the 1920th century and European immigrant communities in Canada. The Departmen
offers courses which are relevant to the understanding of international developments in
terms of immigration for both European and Canadian countries.
