Learning objectives - Knowledge


Learning outcomes:

After completing the module, the student should be able to:

Knowledge
Familiar with multi-discipline systems modeling and simulation tool
Recognize the importance of building modeling tools in reality and applications
Familiar with dynamic model, state-space model and initial conditions
Find how ordinary differential conditions can present the dynamic of the system
Familiar with building energy systems and their role in building energy consumption

After completing the module, the student should be able to:

Skills
Work with modeling tools for building energy simulation and prediction
Simulate the model with different initial conditions and parameters
Do post processing and plotting and document modeling work in report form

Concepts of physical modeling of buildings and their energy consumption
Basic mathematical aspects of dynamic systems.
Basic introduction to modeling tools.
Demonstration of modeling examples from a range of energy application areas.

Prediction of building energy consumption dynamics
