Week 3
This week you worked on your idea generation and
topic research
We have been asked to make a factual programme
about a chosen topic which affects the youth in
Britain.
The topic I have chosen to make my productions
about is mental health and how music affects it. I
chose this topic because I love music and I think a lot
of people could relate to this topic.
We did a lot of research this week with it mostly being
secondary research as we were getting this research
online. We learned many ways in which music does in
fact calm people and benefit their mental health.
I am for the most part on track for this week. Anything
not finished now will be finished soon.
I might need to complete some further research to
further get my point across.
This week you worked on your factual programme
This week we focused more on primary research by
asking people in our class a few questions about
mental health and how music affects them.
We all did separate jobs to help get our research
done quicker. An example of this being someone
making questions to ask people and another job be
setting up the cameras for the interaction.
I learned that we could get work done quicker by
splitting up and each doing different parts of the job.
I am on track for this week.

I felt that the planning we did was very helpful as
when we were filming we were already aware as to
what we would.
We interviewed Josh as the person we were supposed
to interview cancelled on us at the last second. Josh
gave us a good interview for our production though.
As I said before, an issue we had was that we had an
unexpected cancellation of the proposed interview
we had with little notice.
We worked well as a group. Henry got a lot of B roll
footage for our production. Josh did the interview
itself and let us film it in his house. I did the voice over
for the production and did other planning.
We had to take a lot of time out of lesson to film the
production.
