One of the neat things I've seen several home automation systems do is allow someone to build a

visual indicator of the status of their system. Node-red-dashboard doesn't have a node for this...
however it provides a "template" node that can be used to build it with a little know-how. Here's
how you do that.

Step 1: Build a 3D Model of Your House

Of course, you don't actually have to build a 3D model of your house... you just need an image
that represents the overhead view of your floor plan so we can overlay icons on it to indicate
status of pieces of your system.

If you do want to build a 3D model of your house though, you can whip out the tape measure
and SketchUp to do that. Its a fun little project. Go ahead and get that ready. I'll wait.
