Do not write in first person, such as “I” or “we”, but write in third person and/or passive voice.
This is applicable to the entire report not just the ES: no writing in first person anywhere in the
report.
Write in either past tense or present/past participle. Do not write your ES in future tense.
The first paragraph should contain your background information and objective(s).
The second paragraph should have your key findings.
The third paragraph should have your recommendations.
Note: you may have more or less paragraphs than suggested above.

Briefly provide the objective of the report. E.g.The aim of this report is to...
Provide the layout of your report. E.g. The rest of the report proceeds as
follows...
vii. Analysis of the internal environmental factors and their effects on Fonterra’s
performance.
Your analysis must include four of the five:

Structure e.g. centralized, decentralized, hierarchical, flat
A system and any associated processes e.g. marketing system
At least one organisational policy, driven by internal legal and regulatory compliance
requirements, e.g. taxation, human relations
A resource factor e.g. financial, physical human, natural
Organisational culture e.g. market culture, power culture, person culture, and set of
characteristics.
viii. Analysis of the external environmental factors and their effects on Fonterra’s
performance.
Your analysis must include four of the five:
(b) Compare your findings (two environmental factors above) with regards to
Fonterra Co-Operative Group Limited with at least one other New Zealand
organization where the relative importance of environmental factors may
differ.

References (APA)
Ensure that the references start with a capital letter.
The title should always start with a capital letter. The following words (after the first word in the
title) must always start with a small letter except where a proper noun is used or after a colon.
(Jim, 2018) is applicable when you cite at the end of a sentence; e.g., there are so many birds in
New Zealand (Jim, 2018). Note a full-stop after the end of citation.
Note: the best way to have references is auto-generate in Word under the References tab.
