Description of AXXOS Integrator Standard ERP

This document is a description of AXXOS Integrator used for integration AXXOS OEE
with ERP-systems.

The document describes what is possible to do with the standard AXXOS

Integrator and a selection of possible options that can be added to the Integrator

The standard integration option package includes a specification meeting of up to two

hours for import and up to four hours for export, where an AXXOS technician along
with the customer specifies how the integration will work. Project meetings during the
project up to one hour in total is also included

If the customer wants more detailed help with specification, requirements gathering,
and business analyze, investigation of ERP-system provider or the like AXXOS can
provide it on current account or at a fixed price. Notify AXXOS if applicable.

1. Standard Import of order information from your ERP/

MPS- system to AXXOS OEE

AXXOS OEE requires one entry per manufacturing order operation for the
Machine/Production Groups for which AXXOS Integrator imports order data.

Data shall be provided as xml-files in a folder accessible for AXXOS Integrator to read
from. The xml-files shall validate against the AXXOS Integrator Standard Schema
defined in the file AXIOrderStandardV4.71.xsd

If the customer can’t or don’t want to deliver files that validate against the Schema then
AXXOS can setup a customized pre-processing of data that convert the available source
data to xml-data that validates against the Schema. This is not included in the
standard integration option package.

The following data is mandatory in every order to import:

• Production order no
• Operation no
• Machine/Production group
• Goal speed/Cycle time/Unit time*
• Article no

* Important information for measuring a full OEE-value, it is possible to enter this information directly into AXXOS OEE
instead, but it is more efficient to import the information if it exists in ERP/MPS.

The following information is also possible to import with AXXOS Integrator
Standard

The link will be imported and linked to the order in AXXOS OEE as it is given from the
source information. It’s the customer’s responsibility that the URL is viewable for the
user that will use the link in AXXOS OEE.

2. Import of order status from your ERP/ MPS-system to AXXOS

OEE
Order Status Import is an optional feature (former called background integration) that
let information about status changes of manufacturing orders be imported from ERP,
MPS or any other system into AXXOS OEE.

This is used when the users is using another system than AXXOS OEE for starting,
stopping and reporting their manufacturing order information.

If Order Status Import is used then the users don’t handle orders in AXXOS OEE instead
the order data populates AXXOS OEE. This data makes it possible to calculate correct
OEE and to make it possible to report, visualize and analyze production KPI on order
and article attributes.

Order Status is a part of AXXOS Integrator Standard Schema defined in

the file AXIOrderStandardV4.71.xsd

With Order Status Import Standard the following order status can be sent to
AXXOS OEE:

Planned Order is not yet started or is paused

ChangeOver Change over before production of order starts, this generates a

Manual Downtime with Change Over type in AXXOS OEE

Production Order is started and Change Over is finished

Finished Order is finished

Deleted Order shall be deleted from AXXOS OEE

3. Additional (not standard) import to AXXOS OEE

With AXXOS Integrator, information other than order information can be

imported into AXXOS OEE. See some examples below about information that it is
possible to import, but that are not included in AXXOS Integrator Standard:

• Article information to fill • Description of packaging

4. Standard Export of order information from AXXOS
OEE to ERP/MPS

Information can be reported back from AXXOS OEE to ERP/MPS for start of order, end
of order, change of order status (end of batch) or when a user report production in
AXXOS OEE. Provided that the ERP-system can receive the information, which is the
customer’s responsibility.

Data will be exported as xml-files in a folder accessible for AXXOS Integrator to write
to. The xml-files will validate against the AXXOS Integrator Standard Schema defined in
the file AXIOrderExportStandardV4.71.xsd

If the customer wants the data to be exported in another format then AXXOS can setup
a customized post-processing of data that convert the xml-data to the format needed.
This is not included in the standard integration option package.

The following data can be exported to ERP/MPS with AXXOS Integrator

Export Standard:

• Number (quantity) produced • Actual end time for order

• Number (quantity) approved • Which machine was used to produce
• Number (quantity) scrapped the order
• Used time • Information on change of status of
• Used real machine time order, e.g. started, paused or ended.
• Used change over time • Custom specific fields 1-16
• Used man-hours (manning) • Reasons for scrap
• Actual start time for order

It is possible to enable a function in AXXOS OEE for a manual plausibility check of

values before reporting to ERP/MPS.

5. Additional (not standard) Export of order information from
AXXOS OEE to ERP/MPS

With AXXOS Integrator, information other than the above can be exported from
AXXOS OEE to ERP/MPS. See some examples below of information that is possible to
export but are not included in AXXOS Integrator Standard:

• Materials used • Man-hours per person

• Reasons for
stop

Further, it is possible to partially report manually or at fixed intervals, for instance

every 15 minutes. If this functionality is included in AXXOS Integrator Standard
depends on the rest of the set-up, such as how manual corrections should be done,
what data to export and so on.

6. Alternatives for data transfer

AXXOS Integrator Standard prices are based on that xml-files are used for exchanging
data.

AXXOS provides the information in form of .xsd Schemas and examples needed
for the customer (or it’s ERP-supplier) to set up the data exchange needed.

If needed, AXXOS can take part in setting up the ERP data exchange, but it’s not
included in the AXXOS Integration Standard package.

Some alternative ways of exchanging data with AXXOS Integrator which

uses a customized pre-processing not included in standard

Files - The file could be a text file, iDoc, Excel file or something else that is stored in
an agreed location.

Database –Database objects (table, view or procedure) possible to access by AXXOS

Integrator with ODBC or in MS SQL.
It’s needed that the data source used is accessible by the account that AXXOS
Integrator is running under.

Services - AXXOS Integrator uses WCF which means we can publish and/or
consume web services or REST services that is used to exchange the order data.
To use services for data exchange specification needs to be created before AXXOS can
give a fixed price.

Other ways of exchange data, like calling ERP-specific API:s is possible but needs to
be specified from case to case.
