Andrew Richardson

Dear Mr Richardson

My name is Tony Pringle and I currently work at Sunderland College on the NextGen
course. I started this post in September 2016 after being selected for my teaching
experince and experince within the games industry.

After covering a parents evening I happened to speak to an employee of Sunderland

University, who explained that there may be a position within the University in the
games section. He gave me your name and told me to send you an email detailing my
background.

I initially worked for Pitbull, who are now Epic Games, based in County Durham. I
started there as a texture artist and 3D modeller. I was required to visit real
world locations; San Fransisco L.A. and Monaco to name a few to record photographic
and location information to be made into specific game levels on return. I worked
with Photoshop, Softimage and 3DStudio Max. I worked on a number of titles during
the time I spent at Pitbull, namely Test Drive, L.A. Rush and Demolition Racer;
amongst others.

After leaving Pitbull I worked freelance with ex Pitbull director Richard Beston.
His studio Dark Black was linked to Aklaim and I was working on Need for Speed for
the gameboy advance. This was in a texture art capacity, but we were also looking
into new developments at that time like ZBrush and character sculpting in this
software.

I started working for Newcastle College teaching Level 3 Interactive Media. I

progressed to running this course and later moved to running the Fda in Games
Design. This course focused on the art side of game development, covering concept
art, 3D modelling, texture creation, digital sculpting, animation and the use of
the Unreal Engine to make some interactive games.

I hope you have a need for my skill set and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Tony Pringle
