ARE YOU SAVED?

This is a typical protestants' question, especially those FAKE Christians called BORN
AGAIN, frequently asked to Catholics. They believe that their SALVATION comes first from
the so called unbiblical, unhistorical, and unworkable FAITH ALONE doctrine, and that we
only need to accept Christ as Personal Lord and Saviour in order to be saved. This teaching,
however, is very ERRONEOUS, UNBIB
If someone asks you by that question, what should be our response? A catholic should
answer that ambigous question biblically as follows:
AS THE BIBLE SAYS:
1) I AM ALREADY SAVED (Rom 8:24, Eph 2:58)
2) BUT I AM ALSO BEING SAVED (1 Cor 1:18, 2 Cor 2:15, Phil 2:12).
3) AND I HAVE THE HOPE THAT I WILL BE SAVED (Rom 5:9-10, 1 Cor 3:12-15).
4) LIKE ST. PAUL, I AM WORKING OUT MY SALVATION IN FEAR AND TREMBLING (Phil
2:12)
5) WITH THE HOPEFUL CONFIDENCE IN THE PROMISES OF CHRIST (Rom 5:2, 2 Tim
2:1113)."
SALVATION is a continuous process and this is logical since our freedom is not absolutely
fixed in a good for always. Rather, we need to struggle to say NO to evil and YES to God and
to the good we have before us.

The Bible clearly shows other things that we must also do in order to be saved:
1) You must endure to the end (in a state of grace)(Matt 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13).
2) You must accept the Cross (suffering). (cf. Matthew 10:38, 16:24-25; Mark 8:34; Luke
9:23, 14:27)
3) You must be baptized with water. (Mark 16:16; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 3:20-21)
4) You must be a member in God's true church (Acts 2:47).
5) You must confess your sins (James 5:16; 1 John 1:9).
6) You must keep the Commandments of God (Matt 5:19-20, 7:21).
7) You must heed the words of St. Peter, the first Pope (and his successors) (Acts 11:13-14,
15:7; Heb 13:7, 17).
8) You must eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ (John 6:51-58; 1Cor 10:16; 1
Cor 11:23-29).
The CATHOLIC CHURCH is the only Church that meets all the requirements of SALVATION.
THEREFORE, we, CATHOLICS, should know how to answer these Protestants, in particular,
born-again guys, deceiving our misinformed brethren in joining their CULTS. This should
be our reply:
"YES, I AM SAVED, BEING SAVED, HOPING TO BE SAVED AND WORKING OUT MY
SALVATION TO BE SAVED, WITH A LIVING, HOPEFUL AND LOVING FAITH IN JESUS
CHRIST, MANIFESTED IN DEEDS WITH AND THROUGH THE HELP OF GOD'S GRACE AND
MERCY!"
THEREFIRE, it would be an erroneous presumption to say with absolute certainty that one
is saved just by the mere acceptance of Jesus as Personal Lord and Saviour.
