Background Information
The following figure shows the connection kit and hanging kit used in combinations.
Procedure
Step 1 Install the DPU30D or DPU30A connection kit onto the rear of the RRU or the battery
module, and use an M6 inner hexagon torque screwdriver to tighten the captive screw into the
hole of the connection kit with a torque of 5 N·m (44.25 lbf·in.) so that the connection kit and
main bracket are firmly secured, as shown in the following figure.
Step 2 Install the DPU30D or DPU30A connection kit onto the DPU30D/DPU30A power module,
and use an M6 inner hexagon torque screwdriver to tighten the captive screw into the hole of
the DPU30D/DPU30A with a torque of 5 N·m (44.25 lbf·in.) so that the connection kit and
PSU are firmly secured, as shown in the following figure.
Step 3 Install the hanging kits onto the front or side panel of the RRU and battery module, and use an
M6 inner hexagon torque screwdriver to tighten the captive screw into the hole of the RRU or

4.2.3 Installing the Main Device and the DPS on the Wall
This section describes the procedure and precautions for installing a main device and a DPS
on the wall.
Installation Requirements
The main device and the DPS are installed on the wall in normal mode. The main device or
the DPS can use the same mounting kits. Requirements for the wall are as follows:
l The main device and the DPS are installed separately on the reinforced concrete bearing
wall with the concrete strength class C25 or higher.
l For each device, the wall must be capable of bearing the weight four times the weight of
the device and a force of 1.25 kN (281.25 lbf) pulled by a bolt outwards.
l Expansion anchor bolts must be tightened using the torque of 30 N·m (265.52 lbf·in.) so
that the bolts stay secured without damaging the wall.
l In any scenario, to ensure the heat dissipation of devices and waterproof performance of
ports at the bottom, devices must be equipped with bottoms downward and the angle
between devices and the vertical line must be less than 10 degrees.
Installation Scenarios
The DPS can be installed in remote RRU deployment, EasyMacro, small cell, and LampSite
scenarios.
In the following figures, RRU, Micro, or AAU indicates the main device, PWR indicates the
power module, and BAT indicates the battery module.
l Centralized installation on the wall
– Three RRUs and one PWR are installed on the wall, as shown in the following
figure.
Figure 4-18 Application scenario of three RRUs, one PWR and one BAT
It is recommended that the RRUs, PWR and BAT be installed in sequence. PWR is
close to the user AC power system. RRUs are installed at the left side of the PWR
and the BAT is at its right side. The BAT must be away from strong heat sources.
NOTE
Equip the PWR with the RRU or BAT, then install them on the wall or on pole in normal
mode, as shown in the following figure.
l Non-centralized installation
Due to the aesthetic factor and other limitations, it is recommended that the PWR and the
main device be installed separately while the BAT is installed close to the PWR on the
wall, as shown in the following figures.
Figure 4-20 Application scenario of one micro, one PWR, and one BAT

4.2.4 Installing the Main Device and the DPS on the Pole
This section describes the procedure and precautions for installing a main device and a DPS
on the pole.
Installation Requirements
Space for installing one RRU allows two PWRs to be installed side by side and requirements

Dimensions (H Cabinet: 1730 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm (68.11 in. x 23.62 in. x 23.62
x W x D) in.)
Free space When the height of the equipment room is two meters, 3 U and 3 U
space is available for installing two modules at the bottom of the rack.
Up to six devices can be installed in side-mounted mode, with three
installed at the upper layer and three installed at the lower layer. Up to
two devices can be installed in normal mode, with one installed at the
upper layer and the other installed at the lower layer.

14.96 in. x 6.69 in.) and these modules can be installed in side-mounted mode.
l The total heat consumption of devices installed on the rack cannot exceed 650 W. When
RRUs or PWRs are installed in two layers, the temperature is required to decrease by ten
degrees. When they are installed in one layer, the temperature is required to decrease by
5 degrees.
l RRUs and PWRs are installed in layers. RRUs are installed on the upper layer while
PWRs and lithium battery are installed on the lower layer.

two RRUs.
4.2.8 Installing the Main Device and the DPS on the OPS-06
This section describes the procedure and precautions for installing the main device and the
DPS on the OPS-06.
OPS-06 provides an auxiliary solution for installing RRUs centralizedly on a pole or on the
bottom of a pole outdoors. An OPS-06 consists of an OPS-06P pole and an OPS-06T
attachment plate, as shown in the following figure.
Item Specifications
Installation Requirements
Requirements for installing the main device and the DPS on the OPS06 are as follows:

l RRUs are installed together. In addition, battery modules which must be away from the
heat source are equipped with the PWRs.
l Attention must be paid on stress balance of the pole and the heat dissipation of battery
modules.
l The bending radius of a power cable or a protection ground (PGND) cable must be at
least three times the diameter of the cable.
l The bending radius of a signal cable must be at least five times the diameter of the cable.
Security Requirements
l Cables are routed away from sharp objects or wall burrs. If these positions are inevitable,
cables are protected with protection pipes.
l Cables are routed away from heat sources, or heat-insulation materials are added
between cables and heat sources.
l Sufficient slack is provided in cables at turns or the position close to a device, facilitating
cable and device maintenance. The recommended slack is 0.1 m (0.33 in.).
