Important
p Information!
ƒ After the installation of the Terminal Server Services, no other software must
be installed!
ƒ Procedure:
ƒ Deinstallation of the Terminal Server Services
ƒ Installation of the software
ƒ New installation of the Terminal Server Services

ƒ Windows 2003 Server includes 5 Client Access Licenses for Terminal Server
clients. If more thin clients are needed, the required quantity has to be ordered
from Microsoft in the form of CALs.
ƒ Since with WinCC alwaysy the same Windows user is used that opens
p a new
session, always just one license is needed for the Terminal Server.

ƒ Log in once to the server as the new user so that the user receives a local profile.
ƒ If the Terminal Server Services are deinstalled (to install new software), all users are

ƒ Create a shortcut to the WinCC Viewer on your desktop.


ƒ The Web client can be found at:
“C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\WebNavigator\Client\bin”

ƒ Copy this shortcut to the desktop of


the Terminal Client user:

ƒ Start WinCC Runtime and test the Web client locally
ƒ Now open a session with “mstsc” and in the session, start the Web client.
ƒ If the Web client is functioning in the remote session, you can start to
prepare the mobile device for the access.
