I have created this portfolio to take the viewer on a journey of my time here at Seton Hill

University as well as explain my personal and professional growth as an Exercise Science major. In
addition, my portfolio will explain each program outcome and give three artifacts to show how I have met
each outcome. I wanted to make sure my portfolio was easy to navigate and pleasing to look at. To begin
you start at the home page which gives a short biography of myself, my professional goal, and my
philosophy statement. At the top is where all the tabs to navigate the site are located. I have a home tab,
resumé tab, and a drop down menu that takes you to each program outcome and their accompanying
artifacts. The resumé page contains a picture of my resumé as well as a button that allows you to
download it as a word document. As we move onto the program outcomes each of the five sections have
their own tab in the drop down menu. Each page includes the title of the program outcome as well as a
description. Following that you will see three artifacts and reflections explaining each one and how they
relate to exercise science. In addition, each page has a table of contents containing active links to take you
to each page of the site.
Seton Hill University maintains a high standard for learning which is clearly stated in their
mission statement and university outcomes. The mission statement states, “Seton Hill is a Catholic
university rooted in Judeo-Christian values. In the tradition of Elizabeth Ann Seton, we educate students
to think and act critically, creatively, and ethically as productive members of society committed to
transforming the world.” I believe it is very evident in my portfolio that I have honed my skills to think
and act accordingly to Seton Hill expectations. Receiving my education here has allowed me to grow
further into a hard-working and productive member of society. I have also been granted the skills and
knowledge necessary for a successful future. In addition to the mission statement the university also has
outcomes which I fully believe have met. There are four distinct categories of outcomes which are;

With keeping these values in mind, Exercise Science also has their own Mission Statement and

of the Exercise Science Program at Seton Hill University is to develop competent and contributing entry-
level professionals in the field of exercise science in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning
domains. This is accomplished by providing quality academic preparation that incorporates both
classroom and supervised practical experiences.” When reading this mission, I believe I have fulfilled the
purpose of the Exercise Science Program and it has fully prepared me for the future. I plan on furthering
my education to become a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Exercise Science has given me so many
experiences and vital knowledge that will help me achieve this goal. Furthermore, I believe my work
reflects how I have met all of the Exercise Science Program Outcomes. These outcomes are as follows;
