Título del The sidewalk cay struggle against hunger and its own improvement

Localización The sidewalk cay is located in Ibagué’s urban surroundings , on the

combeima’s canyon way, 15 minutes away from Ibagué

It has an total area of 3957 acres, its economy is based on tourism, it has

recreational and rest farms, even though it has falls, the bad state of the

roads makes the access to the sidewalk caí an little bit complicated

And the lack of collaboration from the community itself where there is

no Leader to support all Carolina,s projects, and also the constant and

imminent avalanche threads

Introducción Carolina Gutiérrez Pineda is a seamstress, she is 35 years old and she

learned to saw since she was little with her mom’s help

She remembers she used to see her baking and it was then when her taste

and inspiration were born and she continued learning the costura’s art

Carolina comes from a religious family which teached the goof values

and to help the neighbor

Actually she lives with her 3 daughters and husband in the jardín

Is characterized for being a vulnerable zone facing poverty and focusing

in factors like access to education, work and health

From there was born the idea to help in different activities to mitigate in

certain way this gaps within the projects, and with her family ‘s help,

carolina in her spare time makes an important job which consists in

making 150 lunches every fifteen days

For this area inhabitants

Another important social work in which she is actually headed is to

gathering second hand clothes organizing a flea market where all the

profits are destined to the sidewalk CSU’s church construction Cai’s

One of the principal obstacles that Carolina has to face is the lack of

economic resources

Since she only counts on her family’s help and no support from the

community
