Mason

Family information
Mason is a 4.5 years old boy born in an Australian family, he has three brothers
and sisters, he is the eldest one. His young sister is in the same classroom
with him and his young brothers are in the different rooms in the centre. His
mother is the centre director of this kindergarten and he can often see his
mother in centre.

Dispositions
Mason is a boy who has responsible. He wants to be fireman in the future because
he wants to saving people. He likes to help other children to keep order, tell
them stop running, line up or tidy up. He also easily discouraged by difficulties
and obstacles, so that encourage him when he feels upset is very important.

Interests
Dinosaur, toy blocks, cars, magnets, music, outdoor play.

Strengths
My observations represent Mason is an effective communicator and has strong
responsibility. He likes to help others and keep order, he is the little helper
of teacher.
He likes to talk with people and share his opinions. And he is takes care of
others, especially his sister and brother. My observation on 16/10/2019 shows he
knows he need to takes care his younger sister even when he is busy.

Emerging understandings
Literacy: Letter formation, understand some text, he can writing some names.
Mathematics: Mason can count to 100, shapes, quality, ordering/ sorting
Science and technology: He explored the experience of vinegar and soda, magnets
Creative Arts: Handcrafts, painting

Implication:
Improve Mason’s communication skills with others, help him gentler when he talks
to other children.
Ask Mason good questions to understand what is he thinking.
Provide mathematics learning opportunity.
Increase Mason’s understanding of science and technology(play video of dinosaur).
Sera
Family information
Sera is 4.5 years old, she born in Australian, she is the single child in her
family.
Her parents are Vietnamese and Italian.

Dispositions
Sera is like the big sister in the classroom and she is the tallest girl in the
room. She has good manner and likes to take care of other children. She is
interested in handcraft and music, she likes to listen “Jojo Siwa”’s songs
and dancing with Jojo Siwa. She likes to running and jumping outdoor.

Interests
Magnet blocks, painting, handcraft, outdoor play

Strengths
In my observations, Sera can play with any children in the classroom without age
limited. She likes to take cares of young children and they love Sera too. Sera
knows to help teachers when other children are doing something unproperly. Sera
likes dancing and large body movement, my observation on 14/10/2019 shows that
she enjoys do the movements in music, and she likes to singing.

Implication:
Give Sera more opportunities to drawing and singing, dancing.

Alfie
Family information
Alfie is a 4.5 years old boy who born in Australian, he is the single child in
his family.

Dispositions
Alfie is good at communicate with others, but sometimes he is a little bit
sensitive. He easily feels upset when something is not in his expect. Alfie likes
to play with the children in his age too.

Interests
Dinosaur, magnet blocks, drawing, cut paper

Strengths
In my observations, Alfie is a great communicator, he can express himself clearly
and he likes to share his artworks with other. Alfie has strong learning ability
and he build confidence from every things he done, my observation on 14/10/2019
mentions that Alfie’s problem solving ability is good as well, he figures out
how to tie shoelace by himself.
